  5. Oh wow! That looks beautiful. I once dreamed of retiring to the Smokies...someone who lives there said, "You need a new dream." She said the traffic made it impossible to go anywhere, even on the back roads because all of the "regulars" had figured out they could go that way. Then I dreamed of retiring and living on the beach and was told that the insurance for houses that are beachfront is so outrageous, not many people can afford to live there. That's why it's mostly hotels now! So much for dreaming...

  13. I love the way you can see Mount Shasta from miles and miles away as you drive toward it. I'm with Cube. I like mountains from sea level.

    1. I don't know how many miles you can see this mountain in both directions, but it's a very long way. Sea level viewing works for me too. :)
