Happy New Year

On New Year's Eve, Daniel was in no shape to drive, so he sensibly left his van in the car park and walked home. As he was wobbling along, he was stopped by a policeman. 'What are you doing out here at four o'clock in the morning?' asked the police officer.

'I'm on my way to a lecture,' answered Roger.

'And who on earth, in their right mind, is going to give a lecture at this time on New Year's Eve?' inquired the constable sarcastically.

'My wife,' slurred Daniel grimly.

May each of you have a very Happy and Prosperous New Year.

  1. LOL - better his wife than the lecture he would have gotten from the policeman if he had been driving. :) Happy New Year.

    1. That's unusual for someone that's been drinking too. Being smart that is. :)

  3. Maybe the constable should have taken him in and let him sleep it off so that he could be wide awake and alert for his lecture:)
    Happy New Year!

    1. Naw, it's more fun to hear the lecture while drunk. I'm pretty sure of that. Lecture and hangover isn't a good thing. :)

  7. That wife should be glad he didn't try to drive home, but it's a funny story and one a real guy might actually tell a cop. Happy New Year, everyone and Sandee in particular.

  8. I don't think so. It implies that his wife was in her right mind. She let him loose without her on NY eve?
