Wednesdays Question

It's Wednesday so that means it's question time. It's time to ponder and then answer just one question. Okay, you can add all you want as a reason for your answer too. We'd all like that.

So here's this weeks question: It's Christmas Eve day. What are your plans?
We don't have any plans. We never really did anything on Christmas Eve and we'll do the same this year as always. Have dinner, read together for a bit and then watch a couple of Criminal Minds on Netflix. I'm also sure there will be some champagne shared after that. It's a perfect day because we are sharing it together.

  1. I am going to try to recreate a skillet breakfast this morning, have a fire in the fireplace over coffee, grumble a bit because it is STILL pouring out, make chicken pie for tonight, watch some Netflix and fall asleep in front of the TV in like 12 minutes. ;)

Merry Christmas Eve, Sandee & Zane! big hugs xoxo

  4. Family church service with our family, tortellini soup and Cuban pork sliders for dinner, open presents under the tree...with all 14 of us. Chaos? You bet. Then they all go home! Peace settles in.

Merry Christmas to you, Zane, and Little Bit.

Big hugs to you two, and scritches to LB, honey...

  5. Cooking, church, and whatever these zany kids throw at me, which could be anything. Peace comes the day after Christmas, when we get to sleep in and take an afternoon search for cracks in the eyelids.

  7. Not any plans at all except trying to keep the animals happy in all this rain that we are having. Poor cats do not like a rainy day and this is the third one in a row. Sounds good to watch some episodes of Criminal Minds but I don't have netflix, but have DVDs. A very Merry Christmas to you Sandee, and Zane and Little Bit.

  9. Evening worship service, casual dinner with family, read the Christmas Story from the Bible, give thanks in prayer, and open gifts. Christmas day will be a very casual brunch at the kids house and spend a little more time with the grandcrew.

  12. I might as well be Cinderella, sweeping out the chimney tonight. My family's party is too far away for me to drive at night with a snow storm predicted. Lots of rain during the day right now which will probably switch over to black ice before it becomes snow.

  16. Went last night and met one of my sons to swap gifts (and he picked up other sons family gifts). We met them in Memphis at a restaurant and although it was wonderful- the two hours just was not enough time. So Christmas is kind of over here. Nothing going on today and tomorrow going to the casino to play a little and eat lunch.
    Have a very Merry Christmas!

  20. I'm a Chanukah so Santa and I have an agreement: he can skip my house and focus his attentions on kids who are needy. As for me, I'll probably do some writing; experience adventures vicariously through my characters. Have a Merry Christmas!

  22. We went to church as we usually do on a wednesday evening & when it we were leaving planned to get McDonald's for a supper snack on the way home. I dunno if there's a new Xmas Eve tradition involving burgers but our local McDonald's was packed, including the drive through. We have done this after church McDonald's thing before & it's not usually so busy. The City centre's only 10mins drive away so we headed to the McD's in town & it was the same. Couldn't be bothered driving around checking out any others so we come home & I cooked a meat pie instead & Michelle settled for a some toast

  25. We did something new this year. We opened our presents Christmas Eve.
One of our sons is a night owl, so to make it easy we opened them at night.
It also made it easier on me since I spent most of Christmas Day cooking up a feast.
I enjoy cooking, but by the time it was over my back and feet hurt.
The kitchen was a wreck, however two of my sons did all the clean up.xoxo
