Wednesdays Question

It's Wednesday so that means it's question time. It's time to ponder and then answer just one question. Okay, you can add all you want as a reason for your answer too. We'd all like that.

So here's this weeks question: How much time do you spend on social networks?
Not very much. I'm on Facebook and Twitter and I rarely ever check Twitter. I check Facebook several times a day, but I really don't like Facebook. Social networks have a purpose but I haven't a clue what that might be.

  1. I am not online anywhere near like I use to be when I blogged. I still read your blog, Sandy's and Miss Bee's. I am on my computer for work so I do check Facebook when I am not busy making a dollar, cooking, cleaning, scritching or scooping a litter box. :) My Facbook friends list has been whittled down to ACTUAL family and friends.

    So far less.

I do have a business Twitter but I don't read anything on it. If I happen to need to update my business blog or Facebook page, they automatically post to Twitter. And honestly, I don't even know why I do that but people seem to expect it so I do.

Have yourself a wonderful Wednesday! big hugs xoxo

  3. Is too much a reasonable answer? Although it's a lot less lately, as I am limited to 30 minutes 3 time per day for any internet from a nerve problem in my arm. So, lately only about 10 minutes max.

  4. I got on FB mainly to see what my adult kids were posting so I could steal their photos! I follow mostly real friends and ignore the rest and do check in several times a day to see what is goin on. I have lots of other family members on it, as well as classmates, so it is a great way to keep currently connected. I don't twitter. The name alone is annoying to me.

Have a fantabulous Wednesday. Big hugs, honey...

  5. I get online in the morning for a couple of hours, than again at night for another hour. Once in a while I'll check during the day if there is anything going on of interest in the news.

  6. I go to Facebook a couple times a day as it is the way to keep up with friends. I don't do Twitter at all or anything else. My animals and my blog keep me nice and busy. Hope the day is a good one for you and Zane, Sandee.

  7. I have a Twitter account but I never go there. I am on Facebook a lot. My high school class has a FB page and our 50th reunion will be next year. There is a lot of reconnecting going on right now. The school system and our church post notices on FB as well as e-mail for special events or when weather cancels something. I also have a couple of relatives that I keep me updated on their status (weddings, grand kids, etc.) Also, I am connected to a couple of photography groups (surprise) that allow members to share photos and other information. Yes, I do use Facebook quite a bit on a daily basis.

  8. Never, na da, I'm to old, no need for it. My computer is all that I have and that has it's problems. I don't even have a cell phone. My wife has but can't figure out how to use it. I can't help her on that one.
Have a wonderful Wednesday Sandee. See ya.

  9. I have Facebook and Twitter accounts, but I often go weeks and sometimes months without checking them. I use Blogger mostly, but even that varies day to day. There's no set schedule just mostly when I have the time.

  12. They're great for promoting something or connecting with friends and relatives. They have their downfalls, as well, though! I think we're spending far much time connecting with people online and far too little connecting with them in person.

  15. Too much on Facebook. I have actually just culled the "friends" list to close family and friends and favorite blogging buddies. I like the medium to stay in contact with folks who I don't see on a daily basis. And that even applies to folks who live nearby. With life being so busy, it's nice to have a means to stay in touch. I haven't done twitter, too confusing with tags, and retweets and all that. I do also enjoy instagram, love the "polaroid" type snapshot of life that is thoughtful and interesting, but doesn't require a "Status update". :)

  24. I use it to promote blog posts, which increases my numbers, which leads to better paid opportunities, which helps with my student loan payments. Whew, and I said it all in one breath. ;) Facebook is a big traffic source for me, but FB is always putting new restrictions on that annoy me.

I love your answer. I really don't know what purpose social networks have, either.
I no longer use my facebook account, I rarely check my twitter account.
I like twitter for posting statuses I like, but rarely check others. I know, bad me.

    Merry Christmas!

  29. I use Twitter & Google+ just to promote my comics, Facebook too, but I have a number of close friends & my 3 kids on there who I use FB mostly to keep in touch with. Don't use it a lot though. Reading Comics & blogs & running my own site takes up most of my online time. There are only 3 blogs I can think of that I follow, yours & 2 others, all the rest of the sites I keep up with are webcomics
