Fragments

This week finds us planning for our next IOBG function on August 23 at Village West Yacht Club. We will again have a fabulous BBQ lunch and I'm looking forward to that. Two of our members are pros at BBQ ribs and chicken. Finger licking good. It's also officer nominations and I guess I should be there for that as I'm slotted to be president next year.

I can't believe how fast this summer is racing by. It seemed like yesterday it was May and now we are rapidly heading to the end of August. Slow down a bit will you?

Hubby and I have 28 more months of volunteering and then it's off to some island somewhere for the month of January. If we haven't had enough good weather we may spend February too. Who knows.

Several weeks ago I participated in a Pay it Forward on Facebook. I have five gifts to send to the following people - Gary from my yacht club, my buddy Seymour (the pet rock from Colorado), Kathe's lovely cat Lucy, Judy in Oregon, and Steve from Florida. I just wanted you to know that I've not forgotten. Thanks to everyone for getting your address to me.

Next month my granddaughter and her man are going to join us for a bit of boating for two weekends. We got them a room so they can have their privacy and we can have ours. They love to run off in our runabout and the runabout likes the work. Hubby and I can't wait to see them again.  I'm sure it will involve some BBQ too.

Going to stay home this weekend as we've that cruise the following weekend to Village West YC. Every once in a while it's nice to just stay home.

Have a great rest of the week and have the best weekend ever.

  2. These posts are great to read and I love hearing about roche' too. Too funny. Hope he gets those new shoes. That sure sounds like a good plan to go off to a nice island for a couple of months. You all have a wonderful Thursday.

    1. Roche gets whatever he wants. Empress Bee is a pushover where he is concerned and that's a good thing. :)

  3. Fun that your granddaughter will be coming. And if you're slotted to be the president, it's probably a good idea to be there (congrats, by the way). :)

  4. President Sandee, that sounds pretty good. Is your white house going to be a pink house?
I enjoy when you are informing us of what you are doing in your life. Thank you for that. Have a wonderful, beautiful & sunny Thursday my friend. See ya.
