Wednesdays Question

It's Wednesday so that means it's question time. It's time to ponder and then answer just one question. Okay, you can add all you want as a reason for your answer too. We'd all like that. I'll even answer my own question as that's only fair.

So here's this weeks question: Would you do something risky like skydive or some other extreme sport where your safety was at risk?
No! I'm not a risk taker where my safety is concerned. I know many folks feed on this extreme thrill, but I'm not one of them. Thankyouverymuch.

  7. I said, "No" to paratrooper school when I was in the army. That was over 40 years ago and I haven't changed my mind. Threre are plenty of risky adventures in life that find me without me seeking out new ones.

  8. What is wrong with everybody here? Getting older shouldn't make you scared of taking risks. Skydiving is #2 on my bucket list. Ziplining is #5. I've always wanted to do it. Love thrills like roller coasters. The bigger the better. Sorry to be the odd guy out, but Oh YeS, I would do it today!

  9. hands down - no. no roller coasters, zip lining, jumping off anything higher than a curb, diving into water, nope, nope, nope. i don't look at it as "scared" but rather "smart".

roche' says he wouldn't either. smart rock!

  13. I am not a risk taker so skydiving is definitly out for me. My admiration goes out to those who are into extreme sports but as for me I like to have my feet firmly planted on the ground.

  24. Then: YES (I have the hospital records to prove it.)
Now: No way. I take too long to heal.
Then: I have skydived, SCUBA dived, skied, climbed, jumped, etc. I was a lot like my girls.
Now: I take photos of my teens doing all these things. Although, many people think I am still a risk taker based on the places we go and the things we do (riding elephants, etc), but I think I am cautious, so I guess the real answer would depend on where we draw the line.

  25. If a doctor told me flat out, "J, you are going to die in the next month," yes, I would go skydiving. I'm certain that I'd break limbs... but if I'm going to die, I may as well live!

    1. Well, you have a point here. I hadn't thought of it in these terms. It would really not matter what you did as long as you were living life to its fullest.

I love Bucky Katt too. Thanks. :)
