Being Single

Reasons To Be Single:

Cooking my own meals would be an adventure, not a punishment.

I wouldn't have to explain why I'm wearing "that" shirt with "those" pants.

I could leave the toilet seat in any position I please.

I could actually tell the bartender, "If anyone calls, I'm here".

I'd be painting the town instead of the house.

When I get home after work, I don't have to start work again.

I could show my girlfriend where I live.

I'd be driving a miniskirt instead of a minivan.

The only weeds I'd be concerned with are the ones I'm rolling.

I would have saved $372,416.21 in groceries by now.

I wouldn't catch so much grief about those skid-marks in my underwear!

I'd get to see what my paycheck looks like.

I'd get to see what my credit cards look like.

You can see a different face when you wake up in the morning, every day of the week!

Going to a strip club doesn't have to be a covert mission.

Bachelors don't have Mother-in-laws.

I wouldn't have to watch sub-titled French films.

I could use my own name at hotels.

I wouldn't have a driving instructor grading me every time I go somewhere.

When asked his opinion, a single guy can say, "Hell yes, you're fat!".

  11. Very interesting statements Sandee especially the one about bringing the girlfriend to see my house. I'm sure that my wife would love that. Wait a minute, my wife is my girlfriend and lover. She already knows where I live. Ha,ha,ha. Have a great day my good friend.

  13. I can think of far more reasons to be married than to want to be single again. Of course, at my age, single is REALLY NOT a good idea. Whose going to nurse me back to health when I get the flu? When asked, "Is that what you're wearing?", who do I tell, "No, I was just practicing putting on things you don't like." Looking back on my life there are a lot of things that I would do differently, but being married is not one of them.

  15. Sandee, I just read about Miss Audi. She is a cute little girl. You be so proud. Seeing you it proves that you are a blonde for sure. It's to bad that I couldn't see your face though. I'm happy that Miss Audi follows the rules and enjoys the water. I bet that she can also swim. Being near the Detroit River and Lake Erie, water is an enjoyment.Unfortunately I don't have a boat. I just enjoy the water on the shore. It's so peaceful & scene. When I get worried or upset I just go down to the river shore and relax looking at the water. I wish that I had built my home along the river but I live in a golf course. Have a wonderful day Sandee.

  18. Well. bahahahaha! He'll get no arguments from me, says the lady who was married 21-3/4 years and has been happily divorced for 20 years. And if those things are all on his list, I'm pretty sure that most women would be thrilled to have him remain single. ;)

Have a lovely day! big hugs xoxo

  22. I know those are just meant to be funny and many of them were. After 31 years of marriage, most are good days, but there are days when I want to throttle my husband. Of course, when I was single, I had good days and bad days, too. So much of life is cyclical... if you don't like the situation, wait 15 minutes and it will change.

    1. Yes, there is some humor here, but some are spot on for folks and it drives them bonkers. I've been married a long time too. Never have wanted to throttle hubby though. :)
