Silly Sunday

Sunday is the place to come for weekly laughs. The rules are simple, just have fun.

This is a great opportunity to get to know other bloggers and have a laugh or two in the process.

Here is how it works: Laugh and Link Up!
To get the same linky code as I'm using click on the Silly Sunday Code in my navigation bar. Copy and paste that code into your Silly Sunday post and we'll all have the same links.
Watermelons

There was a farmer who grew watermelons. He was doing pretty well, but he was disturbed by some local kids who would sneak into his watermelon patch at night and eat his watermelons. After some careful thought, he came up with a clever idea that he thought would scare the kids away for sure.

He made up a sign and posted it in the field. The next day, the kids show up and they saw the sign which read, "Warning! One of the watermelons in this field has been injected with cyanide."

The kids ran off, made up their own sign and posted it next to the farmer's sign. When the farmer returned, he surveyed the field. He noticed that no watermelons were missing, but the sign next to his read, "Now there are two!"

  5. Ooh, funny and scary!

When my Sweetie was growing up in a farming area, the guy who grew watermelons knew the boys loved stealing them more than anything, so he kept two patches. The larger was the "selling" watermelon patch, the smaller was the "stealing" patch. They boys were welcome to "steal" from the smaller one and not get into trouble. The bigger one they left alone. It works!

  13. Wow! Super clever and I love it! Pity that kids can be so smart sometimes yet when it comes to schoolwork, they fail to use the same smarts there. :D Thank you much for the laugh today, Sandee! Hope you're having a marvelous weekend!
