Only in America

A man from Little Rock, Arkansas was awarded $14,500 and medical expenses after being bitten on the buttocks by his next door neighbor's beagle. The beagle was on a chain in its owner's fenced-in yard, as was the man.

The award was less than sought because the jury felt that the man who, at the time, was shooting the animal repeatedly with a pellet gun might have provoked the dog.

  1. Well, you know what I'd have been provoked to do to him... and it would not involve a cash settlement. ;)

Have a splendiferous day honey! I shall! big hugs xoxo

  17. I think the dog might have counter sued for mental anguish damages. Perhaps a few pelt patches also if the owner had taken him to the vet.
My Adi beagle dog wouldn't bite anyone. She bit me once when we were playing really hard.
