Wednesdays Queston

It's Wednesday so that means it's question time. It's time to ponder and then answer just one question. Okay, you can add all you want as a reason for your answer too. We'd all like that. I'll even answer my own question as that's only fair. Easy question this week.

So here's this weeks question: What's your middle name? Is your middle name a family member or friends name?
Louise. My mother had a friend named Louise and that's how I got my middle name.

  2. Mine is Anne. My mom wanted me to go by Karen Anne but that never happened because I just wanted to be Karen. I guess since it was a popular name at the time, my mom thought it would help set me apart from the other Karens.

  3. You're gonna laugh at me (go ahead, you've got my permission) but I only have 2 names, no middle name whatsoever. My parents through it's better to follow the Romanian tradition than the modern times and gave me and my sister a first name only. I'm not complaining, it's easier and faster when I need to sign something :)

  4. Susan... just because my mother liked how it sounded with Barbara and it was a popular girl's name at the time. My first name is after my father's sister Barbara and also for a little girl, the daughter of someone my parent's grew up with. The little girl had just recently died of leukemia.

Hope you're warmer than we are this morning. brrrr... big hugs xoxo

  13. I'm a dog without a middle name. His family has a tradition. Males' middle names are the father's first name. Same for females with their Moms. One of the family females just had a boy. First name was her father's (RIP) first name and middle name was the baby's father's first name.

  17. I love this question. I have two middle names, one is a baptism name and the other is a confirmation name and they are Janet Joan. I don't know why my parents choose Janet as my middle name and I choose the name Joan for my confirmation name after Joan of Ark. Funny that rarely use the name Joan and I rarely think about it.

  20. my middle name is a family name- my Mom had it as her middle name as did her mom-
it's Elizabeth. Russell's middle name was supposed to be his dads middle name but it was mis-spelled on the birth certificate ( Stine instead of Stein) and Lucy's middle name is Ariel as she is always up on something she should not be- like the dining room table. Cheers!

  27. It's kinda different here in our country, our middle names are the last names of our mother, so even if you name your child two or three names that counts as first name. Exmaple

First Name : Maria Aurora Teresa
    Middle Name : Agulto
    Last Name : Francisco

    :)

  28. Ann

No clue why they chose it. I used a variation for my daughter.. Anna. Because both my Husband and I had Great Aunts by that name who were special to us. And because it gave my daughter the special initials MAC, just like her Daddy. My two Mac's. Big and little! <3

  29. Rork (like O'Rork). It was my mother's maiden name. When her family came to the U.S. from Ireland they Americanized their name by dropping the O' from O'Rork. My grandson has the same middle name.

    1. Your middle name reminds me of Nora Robert's Rorke in her novels. He's from Ireland too. :)

  30. My parents got creative with my first name (in regards to the spelling) but in terms of my middle name...nothing creative about it. Marie. which is my Mom's middle name. She then went on to give the same middle name to both my sisters and my brother's name is the same as my Dad's...who's name is the opposite of my Grandfather's name.

  31. Sorry I missed this one. My middle name is Jean - named for a great grandmother on my mother's side.
