Wednesdays Question

It's Wednesday so that means it's question time. It's time to ponder and then answer just one question. Okay, you can add all you want as a reason for your answer too. We'd all like that. I'll even answer my own question as that's only fair.

So here's this weeks question: When it's a family members birthday do you buy a gift, a card, or give them a call. Or all three?
We treat our family member to dinner (their choice) and there is always a card with money inside.

  2. that depends on who the family member is. If it's Wade he gets a card and a gift, if it's one of my kids they get a card with money and a phone call. Anyone other than that maybe a text or a phone call

  8. It depends but usually give them a call send a card and a gift usually a voucher, I am not good at choosing gifts for people so the voucher is so they can choose themselves.

  10. It depends...
Family members are scattered all over the U.S,
We do our best to let them know we're thinking about them.

  13. Hubby gets all of the above ... plus text messages (usually). The others - it depends. They all get cards and a phone call. Some get a gift besides. We're a family that loves celebrating and birthdays are a great excuse! :)

  14. It depends. My mom usually wants me to make her some jewelry so she gets gifts and so does my hubby. Everyone gets a card and a call for sure.

Have a great day Sandee! Scritches to Little Bit!

  15. Depends. Grandpa gets home made goodies that his mama used to make for him, and no one else cooks any more. Grandma gets a gift. My kids get cake, and if they are grateful enough, the opportunity to live here another year. Niece and nephew get a card with money, brothers get a call.

  16. It's usually a gift card or check since we are so far away. They usually get a call, too!

  18. Depends on the family member. The local members (grandcrew) get a gift and a card, maybe dinner at their favorite restaurant. Out of town members get a card and a call. Special birthdays (40th, 50th, 60th, etc.) may call for travel and dinner.

  19. A card and gift. But only to those I appreciate. After all, like many I have people I tolerated and then those I appreciate. Of course, there is that third catagory.

  20. Hi Sandee,
A gift but now that you were so kind and suggested a card, that's going to be my "gift" as I always struggle with gift ideas :)

  21. For their birthdays I make them buy me a gift. It works out better that way.

  24. I do what I can. I'll always call or text. If I see them, they'll get a gift if not, I'll try to send a card.

  25. You posted this on my son's actual birthday! I texted him at midnight. I facebooked him a Happy Birthday first thing in the morning. I called him later in the day. I had given him a birthday present during our Christmas get-together, since his birthday (and one of my daughter's) is so close to Christmas. I don't send cards anymore.
