Silly Sunday

Sunday is the place to come for weekly laughs. The rules are simple, just have fun.

This is a great opportunity to get to know other bloggers and have a laugh or two in the process.

Here is how it works: Laugh and Link Up!

Little Johnny

An old man on a crowded bus has trouble finding a seat. The bus careened down the avenue, shaking the passengers from left to right, and the old man, unable to support himself properly with his cane, fell to the floor.

Little Johnny, sitting nearby, looked down at him and said, "If you put a little rubber cap on the end of your cane, you wouldn't fall like that.

The old man looked up and replied, "If your daddy had done the same, I would have a place to sit on this stupid bus."

  1. LOL - Poor little Johnny probably didn't even understand. Thanks for the laugh.
(Sorry about adding *Linky, it did it automatically, and I wasn't paying attention.)

  2. Old guys always have good comebacks. I read another Bus joke in a Readers Digest today. An old lady was standing up for ages & lots of men were sitting down & none showed any sign of surrendering their seats for her. . After about 1/2 hour one of the gentlemen nudged her & said "I'm getting off in 3 more stops. If you're quick you can grab my seat once I get off"

P.S. I couldn't workout how to subscribe to get the code. It took me to the Linky page & said I need to subscribe. From what I could figure I need a silver membership to subscribe to another person's shared meme. Is that right??? I've done it before with Silly Sunday with no problems.

    1. Yep, things are way different now than they used to be. Kind of a shame.

I'm talking to Mr. Linky about that issue. Perhaps he can get a blog hop function. Working on that. :)

  13. I love jokes. Thanks for the laugh. I wish I was better at remembering the good ones. Here's one of the few I do keep in my memory banks:

A duck walks into a bar and asks, "Got grapes?"

The bartender, confused, tells the ducks that no, his bar doesn't serve grapes. The duck thanks him and leaves.

The next day, the duck returns and asks, "Got grapes?"

Again, the bartender tells him that, no, the bar does not serve grapes, has never served grapes, and, furthermore, will never serve grapes. The duck, a little ruffled, thanks him and leaves.

The next day, the duck returns, but before he can say anything, the bartender begins to yell: "Listen, duck! This is a bar! We do not serve grapes! If you ever ask for grapes again, I will nail your stupid duck beak to the bar!"

The duck looks at the bartender and asks, "Got nails?"

Surprised, the bartender says, “No, we don’t have any nails.”

“Good," the duck says, "Got grapes?”
