Merry Christmas

I want to wish everyone a blessed Christmas.  Today many are celebrating the birth of Jesus with family and friends.  Today many are alone and lonely.  Today many have lost loved ones this past year and are grieving.  If you know anyone that needs a kind word, a hug or maybe an invite to dinner, then please take the time to reach out to those people.  It just may mean the world to them.

We will have family over for a filet Mignon roast with a baked potato bar (butter, sour cream, bacon bits, scallions and shredded cheddar cheese), salad, veggies, garlic bread and for dessert a strawberry cake with cream cheese frosting (our oldest granddaughters favorite cake). It's a peaceful day filled with many conversations and lots of laughter.

Our great granddaughter Audi will be three years old a couple of days after Christmas and we have both Christmas presents and a birthday present for her. She's delightful, talking a mile a minute, and just the most happy young lady. A delight to be around and we'll be enjoying her company most of all.

May those of you who celebrate Christmas have a day filled with love, family and lots of good food. For those of you that don't celebrate Christmas may your day be filled with love, family and good food too.

    1. Baked potato bars rock. They are always a hit here and everyone can put whatever they want on theirs. Baby Audi is a doll. She'll be three in two days so we made cake with three candles and we all sang Happy Birthday to her. She loved it. Great day indeed. Hugs. :)

    1. Come on over. The filet roast was so tender and juicy. A nice medium for two of them and then a medium rare for a couple of the guys. They were perfect. :)

  21. I hope your Christmas was Merry, Sandee. From what you wrote here it had to be.
Last Sunday evening MOST of our family was here, including the ones from London. We had 22, one of those was our (also) three-year-old great great-granddaughter. The fourteen-year-old GGD couldn't make it as could her grandma and granddad. Also missed 23-year-old GD and her fiancé.

Glad to hear that you had a great Christmas ... time with family, friends and those less fortunate are what makes it special!
