Fragments

Today is the last day to get ready to leave for our bay cruise. We have been cleaning the boat, packing essentials, and just checking off the things that we need to bring to be on the boat for 10-12 days. This is an annual event so we have it down very well. To say we are excited is an understatement. Tomorrow we head for the boat and get everything loaded.

Hubby fixed a huge pot of spaghetti sauce for our potluck next Monday night. We do this every year and it's our contribution to the cruise. We do the spaghetti and sauce and everyone else pitches in with the garlic bread and the salad and of course fresh Parmesan cheese. It's a feast that's mighty good and hubby makes some very tasty sauce.

Thursday we will cruise to Pittsburg Municipal and gas up and pump out. Friday we head to Benicia Yacht Club where we will spend Friday and Saturday night. On Sunday morning we'll head for Petaluma Marina to spend a few days. Then we are off to Vallejo Yacht Club for another few days before we start are trip back home. First we make a stop at Pittsburg Yacht Club for dinner on Friday night. Then everyone can do whatever they want after that. Some may head back to their marinas and some may want to stay another day or so.

When we return from this cruise we start looking at the change of watch for IOBG and our yacht club and of course Thanksgiving and Christmas. We will still continue to boat though. We boat year around and we love every minute on our wonderful girl.

  1. Sounds like a fun cruise. I know most of those ports, but not the clubs (although I have been to the Benicia club.) We always made a few dinners in disposable square pans (lasagna, pasta bake, etc) so all we had to do was heat them up.

  22. Damn girl, I envy you. Nothing like those days on the water. My old buddy and I use to go out on the gulf sometimes for several days---fishing, beer and tall tales were always on the menu.
