Wednesdays Question

It's Wednesday so that means it's question time. It's time to ponder and then answer just one question. Okay, you can add all you want as a reason for your answer too. We'd all like that. I'll even answer my own question as that's only fair.

So here's this weeks question: Have you had a medical issue that caused you concern? Was the outcome good, or do you have some life changes ahead?
Yesterday on my Two Shoes Tuesday post I talked about having a medical scare. Yesterday around noon I received a call from the gastroenterologist and all my biopsies came back okay. Relieved can't describe how I'm feeling. I have another appointment at the end of October and I'm guessing there will be some changes that need to be addressed, but not having some of things I was fearing off the table is more than excellent.

  2. good news on your tests. so glad to hear it.
A few years ago I had a lump in my side right by my ribs. Testing showed nothing and it was a physical therapist who told me it was likely due to a deep muscle strain.

  3. You know my medical issues, and I live daily wondering what comes next. So glad you are ok. What a relief. If I could just gain more of my mobility, I could deal with the small things.

  5. More than excellent! YAY!

So far, I've got no complaints as far as myself. My cholesterol, blood pressure, etc. are all good. And I'm 2 pounds away from halfway to my target weight. So YAY. I am concerned about a few loved ones... getting older is harder.. on eveyone.

Have a fabulous day. Ima try! big hugs xoxo

  8. Oh I know that feeling when told things are all right. It is better than drugs. So so glad you got a good report. There isn't a better feeling of relief. I have to go to the Oncologist in two weeks and of course I am already a nervous wreck but just have to be positive that it will all be all right.
    Great new Sandee. Take care.

  9. Hooray for good news! Yes, i've had a couple of problems. Infertility was one (then i went on to have 5 pregnancies, so we overcame that one). Most recently was having to have a recheck after my mammogram, and the recheck came back as fine. Makes me glad i stay on top of these things, though.

  12. Sandee, I'm so happy things turned out ok, even though you're still concerned, I hope all will be nothing but just that, a concern.
I had a bit of a scare for years, because of my breasts that were leaking out constantly. Had a lot of check ups and no straight answer. My doc eventually said it's a dysplazia and I should not be worried but I'm still concerned. I guess that will be with me forever.
Have a wonderful week and a healthy life :)

  13. Great news Sandee! I have had to make some drastic changes in my diet recently. I am surprised how well I have adjusted! Enjoy the rest of your day.

  14. I had a scare a few months ago. Luckily it was not what it appeared to be (negative biopsies) and was quickly remedied. A simple medical procedure keeps that risk at bay. Today's miracles.

  23. I have about 50 each way, Sandee. Not really but I counted my pills this weekend, each day I take 19. Five are prescription and the rest are over the counter stuff the doctors say to take.

Life or death was my AAA (Aoritic Artery Aneurysm) which is one of the silent killers. It has a stent graft inside it now, put up through my leg arteries. My AAA repair with a large stent graft twelve years ago (link). My knee transplant and back surgeries didn't save my life but made me mobile again. I also have four artery stents, one into the left kidney, three others in left descending heart arteries. They probably kept me from a heart attack. c-)

  25. I have a few conditions but the one that I had to make a change for was Diabetes before I was diagnosed it caused me a lot of problems including with the heart.

I would always advise to be tested for it as it can cause so much damage.

    Have a tanfastic day ;-)

  26. Very happy for you and your good news. Yes, I have a few issues, and yes they have and will continue to impact my lifestyle gradually. Growing older certainly has its challenges.

  28. Glad to hear you are ok! Most of medical things are just permanently broken parts - a disc out of place, a split tendon in my ankle, some shredded cartilage in my wrist, and a finger with a small twist as it was set wrong. No complaints though.
