Wednesdays Question

It's Wednesday so that means it's question time. It's time to ponder and then answer just one question. Okay, you can add all you want as a reason for your answer too. We'd all like that. I'll even answer my own question as that's only fair.

So here's this weeks question: Too serious about things or not serious enough?
I'm somewhere in the middle for the most part. If something is critically important I'll be serious, if not I'm pretty laid back.

  1. Way too serious about most things. Hubby is always telling me to 'chill out'.

  2. Not serious enough - I often have to turn away so others don't see me laughing.

  3. Way too serious--I have to make a conscious effort to lighten up.

  4. Usually not serious enough. My first instinct in any tense or difficult situation is to make people laugh.

  5. A little bit of both depending on what is going on. Mostly not very serious. It is way too much fun to laugh and life is way too short not to laugh.

  9. Well... I suppose it depends upon what things you're on about.

  11. I'm usually on the too serious side although it's starting to lean the other direction as I get older.

  14. I think I can be very serious, take things seriously, but have a healthy sense of humour (even witty). I am a realist, so I never take things lightly; I try to take it as it should be and choose my battles.

  17. Probably a little of both. I guess it would all depend on the situation and my mood at the time :)

  19. Depends on the situation, but I am pretty fairly balanced and always try to see the bright side of things.

  20. Serious! What is that? I'm like a duck and don't give a (you know what)! I don't complicate the obvious and I trivialize everything----its the only way to go.

  21. I used to be way more serious, then I got bored with myself. Now I swung the other way (no, not like that!).

  22. Too serious. That's why my boss always tells me not be too hard on myself, be it about work or about family ;o)

  23. Definitely NOT serious I sometimes find it annoying when people take things too seriously, although of course only in the right circumstances ;-)

  24. Depends on "the thing". Like most, often times I am too serious about things that aren't worthy of my undivided attention, and not serious enough about things that need my complete focus. Just sayin'.

  25. With me it so depends on the situation. I lean toward more serious, but work hard at being less serious!
