Wednesdays Question

It's Wednesday so that means it's question time. It's time to ponder and then answer just one question. Okay, you can add all you want as a reason for your answer too. We'd all like that. I'll even answer my own question as that's only fair.

So here's this weeks question: What mode of travel unsettles you the most?
Flying does, but I'll get on the plane anyway. I always breathe a sigh of relief when we land.

  4. Boats. Mostly because of boredom.

  5. Boats, I think, because I can't swim

  6. I have only done it a few times in my life, but...Being driven on 'the wrong side' of the road...with 'the drivers steering wheel' on the wrong side of the car.

  7. Planes, I hate flying. I like the feel of being on the ground.
Have a great day Sandee and Zane.

  8. Flying of course, it's my worst nightmare and I get panic attacks each and every time, with no exception :(

  9. Riding in a car.
The only way I can deal with it is to go to sleep.

  10. #1 is flying- not because I am terrified, but because of the TSA pat down. Ever since I had my knee replaced I HATE going through the line unless they have the "see all" portal. There was a time in Newark NJ's airport where my "pat down" truly was invasive. Poking me in places no one should be poked. I was alone and the TSA folks were awful to all of us. Yelling and throwing our stuff around. I complained later and nothing ever came of it. Since then I avoid going through that airport.

  11. The TSA ruined flying for me-I don't do it. The first time (and last time) I had to deal with them, I left a dime in my pants pocket. I don't like getting yelled at by goons with IQ's of 50 then groped.

  12. Commuter traffic. No doubt. HATE it.

Have a super duper day! big hugs xoxo

  13. I don't think I would do well with a cruise ship, I'm too bothered by motion sickness so it wouldn't be fun. I used to enjoy flying, now it's such a hassle with the check-ins, they even chem-tested the little bag of sand I had in my bag that I brought back from the beach! (I didn't even think of that when I tossed it in there!) I don't mind the flight itself, except for tiny little commuter planes where we are sandwiched in like sardines, and of course bumpy flights like we had on our way home from Savannah, flying thru a thunderstorm. The lightning looks pretty from up above though! :-)

  16. I recently made a trip across the Thar desert on a camel. It was extremely uncomfortable and unsettling.

  17. Dear Sandee, Oh dear Sandee, I would have to say flying.
Blessings dearest and a hug, Catherine xo

  18. I really don't mind travel at all...except the security checks at airports. My "Bionic Woman" parts cause problems.

  19. Riding with a drunk driver when sober!

  20. Definitely flying..although it doesn't stop me!

  21. I'm glad to see I'm not alone with a fear of driving over the mountains, it makes me positively ill!

  22. Flying for sure Sandee! That is one of the reasons why I have not yet travelled abroad. Having a fear of heights does not help either. Anyway I hope to conquer this fear! Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday.

  23. Absolutely none ... go figure. y-)

  24. Definitely rush hour traffic. Can't stand it in any city. Good question.

    Big hugs, honey...

  25. I don't think I'd want to go on a cruise because there's no way off once you're out there and I get motion sickness too. My dad and stepmom went to HI from San Diego on a ship in January during a bad storm and everyone was sea sick and some had injuries from being tossed around from the waves. Not my idea of a good time! Of course they've been on about 15 other cruises around the world with no trouble but that's the one that would happen to me!

  26. I am going to go with camel - although it's not the actual travel, it's the getting on and off. Ever seen how they get up and down, pretty scary.

  27. It's a toss up between rush hour traffic in a large city (and I have to pee) or air travel. I **HATE** air travel. Ya know, it used to be fun. Now we are crammed into a 14" seat and expected to be happy after paying exorbitant fees for imitating sardines.

    It's a necessary evil.

  28. Travel in auto rickshaw (three wheeler scooterette -popular vehicle for people transport on higher basis in India), especially during peak hours in the city roads..

  29. I haven't found a method of travel that I didn't like. The old bus ride up the under-construction Pan American Highway in Guatamola was a hard and dusty ride but still it was fun. I suppose I liked that one, but the least liked.

  30. I used to love flying, now I can't stand it. It's not the up in the air bit, it's what we now have to go through to get up there. I don't fly anymore because of the good old TSA.
