Fragments

We heard from Seymour's public defender that Seymour is going to plead guilty to drunk driving and he's served enough time to be time served, but the court costs and the fine is going to be very stiff. He had better get a job very soon to cover all these costs that seem to be building up each week. Seymour is one expensive rock.

This past weekend we enjoyed cruising to Marina West Yacht Club for the weekend. They are a group of really great folks that always treat us like royalty. On Friday night we had a burrito bar and it's to die for. Saturday lunch was either cheeseburgers or hotdogs and fries. Saturday night was a tri-tip dinner with all the trimmings to include dessert. Sunday morning it was their famous breakfast casserole. They do it up right and their food rocks.

Hubby edged and mowed the lawn for the first time last week.  It took him forever because it hadn't been mowed since last fall.  What a mess, but it's beautiful now.  The water is back on too.  Too dry already.  I do hope we get some more rain before May ends.  If not we are in for a horrible fire season.

The weather is wonderful.  I'm back in short sleeves and it's a matter of time before I don my shorts and flip flops.  Not quite yet, but I can feel it in the air.  I'm loving it too.

Have a great week everyone, filled with good health, love and lots of laughter.

    He's getting paid for it.
    Maybe he's not the fool.

  7. Darn that Seymour! He is entertaining, though.

Sounds like a lovely weekend. I was blessed yesterday with my awesome mother in law who showed up at our house to do some yard work, too. Too soggy and no grass to mow yet, but she raked and raked and pruned lilacs and raked some more. She is a great lady!!! Looking forward to Friday when she and I are taking Megan to see Sesame Street Live. Should be a great day to spend just us three girls! I hope she lets me buy her lunch after the show!!!

    Have a great week!

  11. I've got to turn my water back on. But we had a nice rain yesterday, it came all the way from California, so that can wait a bit.

You should be glad that Seymour didn't break any windows. A lot of rocks and rock stars do that when they get drunk.

Just noticed my pun(??), can he sing? Rock stars are making it big time down in Hollywood.

  13. 8-) Speaking of shorts and flip-flops, we have been able to wear them hear most all of this winter. That is one blessing of Global Warming.

Not this though (I read it this morning):

  17. I hope Seymour is spending his time with the help wanted section.
Sounds like a delicious weekend you had. I'm a little envious of your short sleeves as it's cold here again

  18. I am glad that you are having good times Sandee. It seems as if you are going to have to help Seymour pay those fines. If you don't he could end up in prison. Please help him!:) Take care and enjoy the rest of your Monday.

  20. Although I'm in south central MS its still on the cool side here today. The weekend, however was nice and my little dogs stayed in the yard all day. Looking forward to sping and drowning a worm or two.

  21. So Seymour was driving drunk and not stoned? :) When it gets to 60 here the windows are opened and we enjoy the fresh air! The neighbor's lawn guy mowed today and even though it was loud, nothing beats the smell of fresh cut grass!

  22. This was interesting!

  23. Maybe Seymour could join a rock band. They can make a lot of money.

  24. Seymour won't have time for a job...when he gets back, he'll be too busy explainin' his insobriety and rascally geological promiscuity to his pals on the entertainment center...first, he'll have to learn all those words, then teach them all what was just writ here. As for the court costs, I'll send 'em a bag of jellybeans.

  25. You've been too lax with Seymour, and now his irresponsibility will cost you. It's no different than with kids. In fact, most kids I know have about the same head density as Seymour.
Weather here has cooled a bit, but the rains have come, and we are looking at a wet spring. I hope it keeps up. Actually, it's too wet to mow right now, and I sorely need to tackle that task.

  26. I do miss burritos. I know not totally related, but once I read about them I forgot about Seymour and could barely focus on the rest.
