Wednesdays Question

It's Wednesday so that means it's question time. It's time to ponder and then answer just one question. Okay, you can add all you want as a reason for your answer too. We'd all like that.

So here's this weeks question: What is one of your favorite games?
I love to play quarters. Usually it's an all woman crowd, but now and then a guy will play. You start out with 5 quarters and you roll the dice depending on how many quarters you have. Your first roll is always five dice. One, two and three are a pass and you get to keep your quarters. A four goes in the pot (that someone will eventually win), and the five goes to the player on your right and the sixes go to the player on your left. You can lose all five quarters in one roll. In order to win the pot you are the last person to roll (you have the last quarter on the table) and you must roll a one, two or three to win. If you roll a four it goes in the pot and all the money remains and you start a new game. If you roll a five or six then someone else takes your quarter and needs to roll a one, two or three to win.

  4. That is NOT how we played quarters haha

Take a shot glass and skip a quarter into it. Anyone in the circle who couldn't had to drink.

But my favorite game is Euchre

  8. I really like the card game.
But just to play for fun, not to gamble. Especially when it combined with the "truth or dare".

Have a great day Grandma Sandee :-)

  13. I'm with Bearman. It was a drinking game in college. And I used to beat the guys.

I love Boggle. I just wish hubby was a game guy. He's not. And Boggle isn't really recommended for someone with dyslexia. Poor hubby!

  14. I like card games, board games and dominoes. Over the years I used to play them often with my twin. When we were young we especially liked Snakes and Ladders and Ludo!:) Thanks for the information on quarters. Enjoy the rest of your day Sandee.

  24. I like Monopoly too--it's my favorite "money" game. We even have Animalopoly which is the same game, but you build animal habitats instead of houses and hotels. It's really cute for animal lovers like me! We found it at the Cleveland Zoo gift shop.

  26. I agree with the guys, that is not the way we played quarters. If I didn't win so much back then, I could probably remember all the rules.
Now, I mostly play Civilization, a computer game.
