It's been years and years since I've gone to a movie. I haven't a clue the last movie I went to see either.
Last movie I saw in a theatre -- more than a decade ago, if even in this century -- was 'City of Angels', with a friend who was visiting from NY. She loved Nick Cage, I adored Meg Ryan, so we went to see it...and walked out of it shaking our heads in a "WTF was that?" mode. The coffee afteward was far better than the wasted time there. I haven't set foot in a movie theatre since.
Early last month, and of course I still remember. At that time I watched "Skyfall". Yet somehow, I am not so fond of the james bond movie serial this one, probably because there are few action scenes in it.But before watching "Skyfall", it's been a while, I had not gone to watch at the theaters, the last time probably in 2011. I more often play the dvd at home.
It was THE HUNGER GAMES in March--great movie, was not disappointed! Here's our review of it: http://zemeks.blogspot.com/2012/03/hunger-games-movie-did-not-disappoint.html
It was years and years ago... probably one of the Lord of the Ring movies. I will also break my theater rule soon as The Hobbit (Part 1) comes out on the 16th. The Hobbit is my all-time favorite book. I've read it dozens of times, usually once a year, so I am anxious to see it... and quite curious to see how the director, Peter Jackson, turns a 300 page book into 3 movies. Have yourself a fabulous day honey. big hugs xoxo
Took my God-Daughter with me to see Breaking Dawn 2, last week. Before that, about two months ago I took my daughter to see Finding Nemo in 3D. But other than those two times, I hadn't been to a movie since my first date with my husband in 2007, Evan Almighty. Its just getting too expensive.
The Lord of the Rings #2 about 9 yrs ago. We used to go often. Now we wait for DVD or watch on Pay per View.
Just recently saw The Life of Pi. It was magnificent.
I have only been to the movies once in the last 20 years and that was to see Secretariat. It was a great movie. I am not a big fan of going to the movie theater. Have a great day Sandee and my new friend Zane.
Hollywood would have been broke years ago if it depended on the two of us. We maybe see ONE movie a year, so that would be Meryl Steep playing Margaret Thatcher...whatever the name of the movie is it escapes me right now. It was good. Big hugs from rainy jawjah, honey...
The sound in our little theater was so bad we stopped going years ago. It has since closed. The way I feel about Hollyweird these days, I don't care if I ever go to another movie.
Yes, I remember. We most often have a movie we want to see but don't get to doing it. Like now it would be the new James Bond movie, Skyfall. My list has Hitchcock but I am not sure Mrs. Jim wants to see that.2016: Obama's America was the last movie we saw, it was late this summer. It was okay, a lot of either Dems or Reps thought it was good for their side. As and independent I took it all with a grain of salt (on my popcorn that I'm not allowed to eat)...
Contagion was the last movie I saw. I think I saw it last year.
I beleive the last films I saw in a theater was one evening in 1997. It was Humphrey Bogart series at an "art theater" that has since closed. That evening there was a screening of Cacablanca, The Maltese Falcon, and THe Treasure of the Sierra Madre, with wine and cheese served to the audience between films
Kamal Hassan's Tamil movie "Vasool Raja" was the last movie I saw. I enjoyed it. I think it was about a year ago.
I think it was a Harry Potter movie we went to. Hubby wanted to see it. I fell asleep. I DO want to see the Lincoln movie on the big screen. Daniel Day Lewis is one of my all-time favorite actors and I hear he really shines in this film. Plus from what I hear this movie is really good. Now if I can get him to it...
It was whenever the movie Cars came out. I was in Maine and we did a family movie night with the little guys.I would have never gone to see that movie and I truly enjoyed it!!I wan to see the new Lincoln movie too and the new Denzel movie Flight. But I will most likely wide up waiting until they come out on DVD. Walter and me usually have our movie nights at home. I like it that way too!!Happy day to you and always big big hugs!!:-))))
The town we stay in Spain for 10 weeks, had Thurs English movie night. We went to an Irish film called "The Guard" We didn't know it, but they said it was ok for kids. Ha! OMG, worst ever for kids, but the Spanish subtitles were way toned down compared to what they were saying in English. I just looked it up now, It is "Rated R for pervasive language, some violence, drug material and sexual content"
I have not been to a movie in a very, very, long time Sandee. I hope your day has been going well.
Oh my, it's been so long I can't even remember when it was. I think it was about 8 or 9 years ago, maybe even longer my ex and I were split up but working on things and took the kids to see the Shrek 2.
The last Batman movie, back in August I think.
I can't remember, but it was a long time ago.
With Netflix the movies come to us. The last one we saw was Bambi. We saw it last week.
Wow, has it been that long? I don't remember what we saw last. An American Carol? Maybe. I was going to go to the Hobbitt with the son, but he got sneak peak tickets and will see it without me. So, I'll probably just wait until it goes to DVD.
It's been years since I went to the cinema the last film I saw there was The Mummy Returns because I liked the first one, I left halfway through bored to tears and went in the pub next door :-)
Last summer, our family went to Coralville and saw Madagascar 3:-) It was a 3D film and so much fun, not just for my 10 year old, but for me and my hubby, too!:)
years ago when I took my youngest who is now 35 to see Annie and she started kindergarten and all her clothes were Annie s now that's along time ago
I honestly don't remember. I have intentions of seeing Lincoln and Skyfall. I'm sure I've been this year, I just don't remember what I saw. Wow, I hate it when that happens.
Skyfall :) I was with my brother and sister in law.
oh that's an easy one! hope springs!smiles, beexxoxoxoxoox
