Fragments

Have you noticed that one person can mess up everything for everyone else? Happened in one of our yacht clubs and we had to resign. I hate being backed into a corner. There just isn't any place to go. What makes it so sad is we didn't do anything to be backed into the corner, and there are so many that we love dearly.

Why do some people complain about everything? There is so much to be thankful for if you just look around.

Don't you just love the way some folks drive on the freeway. There are wall to wall cars and they are zipping from one lane to the next and then back. With inches to spare. Bless their hearts and Lord please protect us from these people.

Our annual bay cruise is coming up this October. Destinations are Pittsburg Municipal, Benicia Yacht Club, San Rafael Yacht Club, Treasure Island, Encinal Yacht Club, and end the bay cruise with two nights in Sausalito. Sounds like a plan to me. I have to come back for the change of watch to Marina West Yacht Club on the first Saturday evening as I'll be sworn in as the Secretary of IOBG Delta District 19.

Grand-babies rock, but great grand-babies are even more fun. The patience I have now compared to when I was raising my son. What a difference.

There are so many wonderful people on the Internet. I love many of them dearly and you all know who your are. I've met many of you in person and that's been the most incredible part. The photographs below are just some of the wonderful bloggers I've met.

Empress Bee (muffin53 part deux) and I enjoying the Carnival Glory. Love you Miss Bee. Oh and she's way skinny now too.

Dick and Sandy (Traveling Bells) at dinner on the Carnival Glory. They are currently cruising in Europe. Love you both.

Linda (Are We There Yet??) and Barb (The Daily Gs) on the Carnival Glory. I love you both too.

What fragment is rattling around in your head today?

Have a terrific day and weekend all and remember to stop and smell the roses along the way.

  3. Looks like you're surrounded with fond memories. Maybe we'll have to do a bloggers lunch in the north like a few of us have in the south.

  4. I've only been blogging for one year and haven't met any of the fine bloggers out there yet, but hopefully I will some day.

  5. I'm with Stephen, I haven't met in person many of the people I have grown fond of in this blogging world. Which of course includes you. Your page is where I turn when I need to be cheered up after the gloomy stuff I write about sometimes. As we say in the South; You're a Peach!

  6. One of my pet peeves is people that complain all the time. There are so many positive things in the world even when you are sick. Hope you have a fantastic week end Sandee.

  7. Oh, what a fun Friday surprise! Love you two bunches, too! But you already know that! And I love that photo of you and Miss Bee on the ship. I WIWT now with all of you again. srsly.

As an ex-cop, are you ever tempted to pull over some dipshidiot driver and make a citizens arrest? =:-o

Sorry you felt it necessary to resign from one of your clubs. That sucks. But if it isn't fun it just isn't worth it.

Have yourself a perfectly lovely day! big hugs xoxo

  8. Nothing like time on the water with friends and family. Don't get on the water as much as when I was in Florida, but still have that occasional outting!

  10. Your annual bay cruise always sounds like so much fun! I guess that's because it is .. LOL!

While we haven't met, I always enjoy hearing from you and your amazing times on your boat!

Our daughter is only 20 years old, so no rush for grandkids but ... we can't wait! I can only imagine how great it must be to have GREAT grandkids!

  11. I'm sorry you're having difficulty with that yacht club. I recently resigned from a small discussion group because I was just "over" one person thinking their opinion is "all". If you know what I mean. I just don't have time for that. I'm a tolerant person, but attitudes like that stick in my craw.

As for not knowing life's blessings It saddens me how many people walk around looking unhappy. The next time you're at a stoplight or at a public place, notice how many unhappy looking people there are.

In both counts... life is way too short.

Big hugs from the heat wave in Washington State. We'll meet sometime soon!

  12. We also had to quit our creative ministry over silly people causing major problems. It wasn't fun any more and we refused to put up with the unending stream of problems cause by the few.

  13. I'm quite happy that around these parts we have 2 lane highways. I get in to bigger cities and hate driving.
I have far too many fragments floating around in my brain to list them all....lol

  15. I once had an extremely horrid boss. She attacked e eryone on a personal Level and left many in tears. It was a county job and she knew where all the bodies were buried - and she'd been demoted once. After a particularly ugly attack on me because I dared to have a migraine at work, my immediate director, who had also come under attack, took my hand, looked me in the eyes Nd said, "Don't ever let anyone steal your joy!!!". Shortly after this I took a lateral transfer to a different department. The relief was instant. Fran's words have stayed with me, and I resolve to never let anyone steal my joy!!!
I love the cruise photos! There are so many of you that have given me joy, and I'd love to hug each one of you in person !!!

  18. I am sorry you had to resign from the yacht club Sandee. I hope things will change and you will feel comfortable to go back soon. In the meantime you have the annual bay cruise to look forward to. Have a whale of a time when it comes around. There are really some crazy persons on the road. What is sad is when they drive like this and injure or kill others. Continue to have fun time with your grandchildren and great grandchildren. Beautiful pictures! It is great that you have been able to meet other Bloggers and have good times. Take care and have a wonderful weekend.

  20. So sorry to hear about the Yacht club, and your right people have so much around them to be grateful and happy about. It's all a matter of how happy you make your mind up to be. Nice pictures!
    Have a good weekend,
    Janet :)

  21. Sandee, I too am sorry that you had to resign. I do hope that those thoughtless self-centered people are feeling bad about it all now.

I drive like I roller skated. In and out and around to get up to where I had to do it all over again. I also rode my motorcycle like that so I quite riding while I was ahead. An angry drive has the upper hand with the bike rider.

  25. Obviously it's way past Friday but I simply couldn't let this terrific post go by without commenting!

I'm so sorry to hear that you had to resign from one of your yacht clubs but I know exactly what you mean how there always seems to be someone who makes it harder for everyone else to have a good time and just enjoy life. Knowing how much you love yachting, that had to be a really hard decision to make and I know you didn't make it lightly.

Ah, cruise pictures ... I really wish I had enjoyed that cruise more and had been in a better frame of mind. I kick myself for that one but I'm willing to give it another go one of these days - I just don't know when!

Love you and Zane right back! I was thinking of you last night when I was thinking about Cyndi and the great time we had at Cancun in Stockton. Guess I'll never get there again but it sure was fun - and delicious!
