Wednesdays Question

It's Wednesday so that means it's question time. There isn't a right or wrong answer to this question as everyone has different opinions on any given issue.

So here's this weeks question: Who was your least favorite teacher?
Mrs. Wallace (4th grade teacher). She had a ruler that she would rap against your knuckles if you didn't behave. She was just plain mean. You had to eat everything on your lunch tray too. Custard makes me ill. I can't eat it, but she made me eat it. I threw up my entire lunch. To this day I can't stand the old bag.

  1. Mrs. Gideon (4th grade). Critical, mean old lady by the time I had her. Yelled a LOT about nothing, and made me hate school that year. My sister and I were both in her class at the same time--we started mid-year because our move was delayed and she thought our parents were so stupid for moving during the school year instead of over the summer--like we planned it.

  2. Sister Lucy - (4th Grade, too!)

She insisted on calling me Leeza. And was very mean, grumpy. You couldn't ask any questions and she expected you to understand everything she said, did, instantly.

  3. I have to be honest and say we only had one nice teacher in our school. They all used physical punishment, dished out any which way they fancied. But I suppose Mr Warrel was my worst because he dragged my little sister backwards by her hair, all the way to the wash rooms and dunked her head in a sink of cold water. For whispering in class, I think.

  4. College Art grad student. Horrible teacher, couldn't draw. Turned me off from taking another class.

  5. Mr. Weaver the Math teacher/baseball coach at our high school. I was terrible at math and my older brother had been quite the athlete--Weaver was also the baseball coach. Since I didn't play sports he treated me like pond scum. I understand he was later fired due to student complaints he hung around the boy's locker room too much watching kids shower.

  6. My electronic communication lecturer Dr. Bannerji. He was a good scholar but a poor teacher. I used to bunk his classes the extent possible. I developed a hatred for the subject too because of him.

  7. Well, it was the Russian teacher at fourth & fifth grade! Did not like her and did not like to be forced to learn language I did not want to learn :)
    Hugs from Ohio,
    I.

  8. Well I must have had good teachers all my life or I didn't pay any attention because I sure don't remember a bad one. But then it was back in the dark ages so who knows. But great question. Have a great day Sandee and everyone else.

  9. Miss Grubbs (old spinster) third grade teacher. I loved school til 3rd grade, This woman seemed to hate me all through that year, and I never liked school again. I still blame her with my self esteem problems back then. She was just a mean old lady.

  10. The one in Jr. college that discussed the material after the test had been taken and not before. He was a small, arrogant, little man.

  11. I had a very traumatic experience with one of my teachers in high school. I had my share of mean teachers, and of lazy, and of downright exasperating...but this one lady almost single handedly ruined my entire high school experience for me. Thank god I only had her a single marking period (half a semester).

  12. My least favorite teacher was Mr. Staley, my Architecture II instructor. He was a complete asshat. He kept droning on and on how much he hated Interior designers and that they annoy the crap out of architects.

The big project, which was a major portion of our grade was to create a plan drawing for a vacation cabin. We had all semester to draw it. Mind you, we had little guidance for our drawings long the way. It was pure application.

It was the day we were to present our drawings. Everyone was Standing up and doing their presentations. He was nice and complimentary during those presentations.

It came to my turn and he was nice until the school founder walked in, then he decided to rip me a new you-know-what. He also did the same for the next presenter.

I gave him a negative review. Everyone thought he as a pompous ass.

As you can tell about my language (sorry), I don't hold this guy in high or any esteem.

  14. My least favorite teacher was probably Miss Prynt. She taught a class called office practice (typing, filing and stuff like that) The only reason why she strikes me as being the least favorite was because she informed all the seniors that if we did not show up on senior skip day we would receive an F for the day. Oh well I got an F....lol

  22. I actually blogged about him years ago, although his part in the post was minor as it was mostly about my favorite teacher. My least favorite was my high school History teacher, Mr. Montebello. I skipped almost all of his classes, with the blessing (a pass) from the Vice Principal.

Funny you should ask that question on my first full day back in the town I went to school!

Have a lovely day, hon. Big hugs xoxo

  23. Fourth grade teacher Mrs. Brown. She would embarrass me in class and made me hate math. Definitely left a mark on me in a bad way. Fortunately, I had mostly great teachers and good memories, except for Mean Brown.

    Big hugs, honey...

  24. As a teacher, 5th grade homeroom, Mrs. Squires. Mean, strict, always yelling. Odd things though, she lived just a few blocks away. I later did yard work for her to earn money in high school, and she was actually a nice lady.

  25. That would be Mrs. Law in 4th grade, she was something else. But then again I was no angel either, lol!

Have an awesome weekend Sandee ((HUGS))

  26. Funnily enough I can't think of any teacher who was very bad. However in Prep school there were teachers who would use rulers etc. Corporal punishment is not allowed now. Oh how times have changed Sandee!:)

  27. That would be 'Frau _____' (I can't remember her name).
She gave me a bad grade in college German 102 because of a stunt she thought I had done. Turns out it was my older cousin acting badly but she only went by last names.

She told me (I can still remember), "Herr Hov***, I should have failed you after what I read." I had no idead of what she had read. Many, many, years later at Dad's funeral when I was telling my cousin of this he fessed up.
    ..
I had to answer this even if it is late. Sorry 'bout that.
