Automation Gone Bad?

Automation or automatic control, is the use of various control systems for operating equipment such as machinery, processes in factories, boilers and heat treating ovens, switching in telephone networks, steering and stabilization of ships or aircraft and other applications with minimal or reduced human intervention.   1. Someone in advertising and marketing actually presented and sold this idea to a company and they aired it? Surely not?! Have commercials stooped even lower than I remember and imagined? So glad I decided not to watch them years ago. srsly.
