Cell Phones...

I know we have all talked about our frustration with folks and their cellphones interrupting dinner, or shopping, or whatever else we are doing.

I just love this churches stance on cellphones. Enjoy!

  3. I'll leave my phone in the truck if I ever visit that church. I'm going to hell, I just don't want to go so soon.

  4. That is terrific. I totally agree. Turn those darn things off. Also stop texting. That is the dumbest thing of all. Take care Sandee

  5. Hi Sandee,
Cellphones can really be annoying when they ring at rather inconvenient times. I always remember to turn them off before I go in the church. My internet service is giving me problems in seeing this video! Oh, I would love to see it!:) Take care and have a great day.

  8. Cute and timely! Cell phones can really be distracting to those around them.

  9. I don't know whether I want to attend or run away.

  10. The prospect of a fine or even going to hell wouldn't be a big enough deterrent to stop some people! That is for sure!

  11. The only time I'm irked by cell phones is when my wife begs me to spend more time with here doing things out and about like having lunch at various restaurants or meeting at places.

Then, when we're there, she spends most of "our time" answering her phone about her home-based business.

I'd be just as happy eating chicken nuggets by myself butt-nekkid on the living room sofa with my puppy and my mother-in-law.

  12. Maybe they should look in to having the 10 commandments amended to include a clause for cell phones

  13. Last month while driving on I-5 between Los Angeles and Sacramento I was passed like I was standing still. Actually I usually set the cruse control for 72 in a 70 MPH speed limit. About a minute later I passed the same car that was doing about 50 in the fast lane. The difference now was that the VERY beautiful driver was now texting.

Beauty and brains don't always go together.

  14. Only people who were on call were allowed to keep their phones on at our church. A glare from the pastor, if one went off, was enough to make everyone switch them off in future :)

  15. I never turn off my cell phone for church. No one has ever called me except for one time and that was an emergency call from one of the kids.

Mrs. Jim turns hers off and then forgets to turn it back on for a couple of days until I try to call her. Nobody would call her while church was going either except for an emergency.
