  3. Those are all well said since I am a southerner but not a born and bred one and there is a difference. I used to live in Chawl'stn. It is a gorgeous place. Lots of boats there Sandee. Hope all of you have a great week.

  7. Pretty much true about Southern Women, Sandee. :) I married one. LOL Thirty-nine years this Friday and we are still in love!
She picked me as an elegant gentleman by my car. I had a Thunderbird, her boyfriend at the time who she dumped had a Mercedes. Others past ones had a Corvette and a Thunderbird. Now she drives her Cadillac and I have an older Mustang (GT Convertible).
I've been called those names a lot by Southern women, about in order of the way you listed them. Mrs. Jim has a special one for me.
She's keen on football too! Her favorite college team is LSU and most detested is Ohio State. The OSU coach was very rude one time in (LSU) Tiger Stadium.

  8. I reckon that's a purty nice list and downright accurate, too! Makes me wish I'd been born in the genteel South rather than New England as I just adore Rhett Butler and any man in uniform!

  9. And don't forget that if you ever say anything bad about anybody, you just say "bless his/her/their heart" and it cancels out the bad stuff, shugah. Life is good in the south!

    Big hugs, honey...sho nuff...

  11. Al's sister Ruth is about as southern as a woman as you can get. Her husband Ed's name has about 4 or 5 syllables in it the way she says it. EY-A-A-A-D.

    Y'all come eat, hee-a?

    Big hugs xoxo

    Love it! So true....
And add that every family has a a "burying the silver service in the back yard to avoid it from having been melted down for bullets during the war of northern aggression" story

  15. You blurred your lines a bit, those from Foat Wuth ain't southern, they's Western. But still pretty close. We use pecan pie as a homecoming gift. I've lived in the North, I've lived in the South, I prefer the West....just sayin'
