Wednesdays Question

It's Wednesday so that means it's question time. There isn't a right or wrong answer to this question as everyone has different opinions on any given issue.

So here's this weeks question: Do you agree with the Occupy Wall Street movement? Why or why not?

  1. Honestly, I couldn't say one way or another because I am in a state of blissfull ignorance. I completely stopped watching the news a couple of years ago because it ceased to be NEWS. The Presidential Election and all of the Opinionators left a very bad taste in my mouth.

    Big hugs honey xoxo

  4. I am NOT with Barb..haha

I know what is going on though I think there are way too many interests with differing wants. Some want change others want destruction of capitalism completely.

There are definitely things they are for that I am in agreement but there are other things that I am completely against.

  5. I did in the beginning, I thought they had some valid points; likening it to a left wing tea party, and unbeknownst to them, protesting the exact same thing the Tea Party was. However, it's now been hijack by the activists and lunatics. Unlike the Tea party, who then took action in the political arena, these kids are now alienating middle America with slash and burn,ultra-left tactics. Now, they just look unwilling to do the work needed to further their agenda in the area of political activity, and are just whining "gimme gimmie gimmie". If the level-headed in OWS and the Tea Party got together, then we would see change.

  7. Don't have a clue what it is. Sorry. I guess I should be more educated. From reading some of the comments though, it sounds like something I would not like. Take care and have a great day. Hugs to Little Bit.

  8. I believe in the right to protest but I think this movement is unfocused and is probably costing the taxpayers (the middle class) a lot of money to clean up after them. But I approve, in principle.

  10. I believe in the right of persons to protest peacefully. Based on what I have heard this is not a protest that I could strongly agree or disagree with. I live in Jamaica. I hope your Wednesday is going well Sandee.

  11. You made it really hard today! I'd say yes. However, I'm not sure that it produces any results. Do we have to riot in order to get government's attention? *sigh*

  13. Even though I think I'd rather agree with Barb and be blissfully unaware, I watch just enough news to be in agreement with Mike on this one.

I think it started out as a good idea and a way to get some good attention but now I think it's time to pack it in and try something else.

  14. If it causes at least one person to reconsider the sad state of Wall Street, the Banking Industry and Big Business...AND they continue to demonstrate peacefully then they can Occupy Wall Street until the end of time.

  18. I would say I agree on their principle & concept behind it but personally think that no amount of protesting will make the greedy corporations change their ways. So for that reason I think it really is a pointless exercise. I hope that makes sense & conveys what I mean
