Wednesdays Question

It's Wednesday so that means it's question time. There isn't a right or wrong answer to this question as everyone has different opinions on any given issue.

So here's this weeks question: Do you look forward to Christmas each year? Why or why not?

  2. At first I was going to write that I look forward to Christmas every year, and I am looking forward to it again, but we're having some tension in our family this year, so I feel conflicted.

I hope that we can remember what the holiday is about, and that God will give us the grace to get through it.

    Great question!

    Luvs ya,

  3. Oh, I just realized that I misunderstood the question. You asked if you look forward to Christmas every year.

The answer to that question would be yes, in general, I do. It's my favorite holiday.

  4. Oh yes! It's such a joyous time, people just seem more friendly around that time of year and I always look forward to celebrating my Savior's birth! Plus, I like to shop for my husband, like the extra time off work AND it's one year closer to retirement!

  5. A resounding YES! Why? Because it's the most wonderful day of the year!

  6. No I don't. Fraught with bad memories. Plus I think if you are a religious Christian then go to church. If not, then it's a day like any other day. Any day of the year is suitable for buying gifts no one needs or wants for people you don't like. It's a commercial holiday devoid of any meaning except greed.

  7. I don't celebrate Christmas as a holiday, but we do hang out at the beach with another family that doesn't celebrate it either. It's in the middle of summer in the Southern Hemisphere. So the short answer - yes.

  15. I don't celebrate Christmas but I look forward to it every year. It is a time to take pictures because the shopping malls and streets will be beautifully decked with Christmas decorations.

  16. I guess I would have to say no, and I know that sounds awful. I just go broke at Christmas because kids (and some adults)today forgot the meaning of Christmas, and it is just a bummer. It is Jesus' birthday not ours.

Have a great day sweetie ((HUGS))

  20. I do look forward to Christmas every year since it is a joyous time of year. I love the music and finding gifts for other people. Great time of year.

  21. I do look forward to Christmas, but I take steps to reduce the stress - otherwise I don't think it would be fun. I limit what we commit to and I start buying presents freakish early so that I don't have a zillion things to do in Dec.

  22. In some ways I still look forward to that holiday, but with my wife gone its really not the same anymore! All I can hope for is that this year will be better than last.

  23. I do look forward to Christmas every year but not so much as I used to. It's all so different now that my kids are grown and out of the house. It doesn't help that my husband does not like Christmas at all. His mother died on Christmas day (probably about 30 years ago) and to this day it depresses him. I try to enjoy the holiday in spite of his bah humbug attitude though

  31. To a certain extent I do look forward to Christmas, it is fun. But I also I hate how commercial it has become. It's not presents that excite me, it's the spirit of the festive season, the simple things that I look forward to...
