Prayer

Everyone was seated around the table as the food was being served. When little Logan received his plate, he started eating right away.

"Logan, wait until we say our prayer," his mother reminded him.

"I don't have to," the little boy replied.

"Of course you do," his mother insisted, "we say a prayer before eating at our house."

"That's at our house," Logan explained, "but this is Grandma's house and she knows how to cook."

  10. Yep, I suspect this will be the scene in our house very soon. Megan has already been "trained" to shake her head and say NO when she is asked if she likes Mommy's cooking. Sometimes, I wonder if the cost of daycare is worth it?! Hahaha. (as opposed to being home all day with her smart a$$ father!) ;0)

  14. Thanks for the good laugh Sandee. I needed that. I just found one of the little kittens dead over at the house. I caught one and don't know where the other one is. So I needed a smile. Hope you are having a super day.

  17. I tried something like that once when I was little. My parents were mortified to say the least. I used to be a very loud, honest little boy. :)

  18. Wish I could have said something like that to my ex-mother in law. Oh boy was her cooking bad or what!

  19. Funny. Not when the kid gets his face smacked, but the comment was pretty good.
