The Dalmatian

A Sunday School helper was delivering a station wagon full of kids home one day when a fire truck zoomed past. Sitting in the front seat of the fire truck was a Dalmatian dog. The children began discussing the dog's duties.

"They use him to keep crowds back," said one youngster.

"No," said another, "he's just for good luck."

A third child brought the argument to a close. "They use the dogs," she said firmly, "to find the fire hydrant."

  2. Yep, he must have found the fire hydrant in front of Willy's house recently. He left a big deposit beside it also. Guess Willy gets to clean it up.

Thanks Sandee for being one of my most prolific commenters on my various blogs.

  7. That makes perfect sense to me since most fire fighters are men and we all know that they won't ask for directions. Therefor the dog has to be there to find the hydrant.
