Rules

Rules Guys wished Girls knew...

1. If you think you're fat, you probably are. Don't ask us.

2. Learn to work the toilet seat: if it's up, put it down.

3. Don't cut your hair. Ever.

4. Birthdays, Valentines, and Anniversaries are not quests to see if he can find the perfect present!

5. If you ask a question you don't want an answer to, expect an answer you don't want to hear.

6. Sometimes, he's not thinking about you. Live with it.

7. Don't ask him what he's thinking about unless you are prepared to discuss such topics as navel lint, the shotgun formation, and monster trucks.

8. Get rid of your cat. And no, it's not different, it's just like ever other cat.

9. Dogs are better than ANY cats. Period.

10. Sunday = Sports. It's like the full moon or the changing of the tides. Let it be.

11. Shopping is not a sport.

12. Anything you wear is fine. Really.

13. You have enough clothes.

14. You have too many shoes.

15. Crying is blackmail. Use it if you must, but don't expect us to like it.

  1. I have to say that I side with the fellas on most of these... except one.

Fellas, if you find the toilet seat down when you get there, it had better be back down when I get there. And that's all I'm sayin' about that.

Happy one week to go! Big hugs :]

  2. Barb, that sound fair to me, but, then, I like cats, too.

Another thought, if you put the seat up, have the courtesy to wipe off the bowl before you put it down. Just a thought.

  3. I once had a midnight toilet seat mishap because my husband left the toilet seat up. Luckily, I was able to stay dry.

  10. So it seems that the toilet seat issue is the biggest one out there so I guess I can consider myself lucky that no men live in the house! I do remember it as being an issue back in the day, though!

Have a great Saturday - this time next week you should be well on your way to Florida! Woohoo!

  11. Once I hit a certain age (I'm not saying how long it took me to get to that age) I had no problem with any of those rules. I can even live with the toilet seat one

  12. All of those seem pretty straight forward to me, but then I am not your average female. I always check the to make sure the seat is down. I find it is best if everyone puts to lid down as well. You have a common ground if men and women would just put the lid down.

Sandee, I am so excited for your cruise next week. I can't wait to hear all about it and how much fun you will have with all of your bloggy friends.

Maybe one day I will feel the need to go on a cruise. Hubs and I would love to go take the Canada cruise some day. Until he retires we won't be going any where.

    Big HUGS to you!

  22. "Get rid of your cat. And no, it's not different, it's just like ever other cat." One of my buddies, an attorney, had his new live-in girl friend sign a living together contract. One clause was that she must spay her cat. :)

  23. Look in the mirror before you leave the house. Maybe what you're wearing isn't okay. You shouldn't have to ask us.

  24. if you agree with all of these, you are in need of help ;) never cut my hair? does that include arm pit & legs? Whoo hoo! the whole toilet seat fight could easily be over if everyone just sat down... 95% of the time there is no worry about aim & clean up after, plus you can relax while you unload, just saying ;) and pets... I know plenty of men who loves cats & women who love dogs, or both! not worth another world war. where is the rule about keep your shoes on if you have stinky feet?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Well I have to say these are pretty on target. I found that I can leave the seat down all the time and just improved my aim, well most of the time.

See that's a secret all you girls don't know, so you best not get to bossy to the male animal in your house, just a tip ;-)

  27. Barb said it right! I had a big issue with the toilet seat thing when I was pregnant. I couldn't quite bend the right way to let it back down gently. Hubby got the message whne I sarted letting it slam., If it cracked the bowl, it was going to be his fault for leaving it up. haha.
