Typing Paper

A salute to an idiot.

Several years ago, we had an Intern who was none too swift. One day she was typing and turned to a secretary and said, 'I'm almost out of typing paper. What do I do?'

'Just use paper from the photocopier', the secretary told her.

With that, the intern took her last remaining blank piece of paper, put it on the photocopier and proceeded to make five 'blank' copies.

Brunette, by the way!!

  1. We once had a secretary like that. We referred to her as 1-800- NO-CLUE.

  2. She only made 5 copies? If she was that low she should have made at least a dozen....lol

  3. Reminds me of a secretary at a place I once worked where there was one photocopier on each floor of the office. The photocopier broke down so the secretary called the engineer. Wanting to know where to come, he asked "What floor is it on?" She replied "It's on carpet tiles."

  4. Seriously... she worked for me. Long ago... but not for long. I'd ask you if her name was 'whatever', but I seemed to have blocked it out.

    Big hugs :]

  5. I think we've all been in an office with this person. They do provide some entertainment, but they don't add much to the production effort.

  6. I am loving these salutes. Haven't had much free time to comment on all of them, but they have made my morning and made me smile each day.

    Thank you for that!!

    Have a beautiful day.

  12. Looking back on my career... it could have been me for about a year, before I learned about the big bad real world. I led a very sheltered life (in the beginning). No more though... LOL

    Happy Wednesday, everyone!!!

  13. That probably is a true story. It is too funny to be made up. Sounds like something I would try.

  21. Actually, Sandee, she's pretty smart. That's how I would get five blank sheets out.
Unless she was trained to open the paper drawer it makes a lot of sense.
