Color is Good

Yesterday I went to the doctor for my yearly physical.

My blood pressure was high.

My cholesterol was high.

I'd gained some weight, and I didn't feel so hot.

My doctor said eating right doesn't have to be complicated and it would solve my physical problems. He said: Just think in colors. Fill your plate with bright colors. Try some greens, oranges, reds, maybe something yellow, etc.

So I went right home and ate an entire bowl of...

and sure enough, I felt better immediately. I never knew eating right could be so easy!!!

  4. It took me awhile to work this one out, but I finally got it. Here's my [un]professional opinion:
Chocolate is derived from Cocoa Beans. Beans are legumes; therefore chocolate is a vegetable (Ta-Da! How'd I do? :o)

  10. That Maxine is one smart lady! All she now needs is a glass (bottle!) of RED wine to go with that. Perfect balance. Just sayin'.

  18. I like your doctor, Sandee! Only problem over here is that our M&Ms are half-priced Easter Bunny leftovers. No wonder I'm pale and blue. :) Even so your stories always cheer me up! Thank You.

  25. Now if they were skittles and reeses pieces we'd be cooking with gas.

  26. And if they made beans the colors of M&Ms, we'd have the gas to be cookin' with ;-)
