  9. I will donate a few of my used winter coats, that are just hanging in the closet. I have not used these coats ( look fairly new) since every winter since I retired in 2002, we are in my island Paradise in the Philippines. Perfect timing for the reminder, Sandee. Have a good day !

  13. What a great idea. We have something similar here in our area, but it is an idea worth repeating :-)

  14. A great commercial, very well-done. I especially like how the coat sits unused for awhile on the coatrack.

In Canada, you can donate coats through Molly Maid and the Salvation Army for the homeless. As wel, individual Canadian cities are collecting sleeping bags as well.

Thanks for passing this along, Sandee!

  17. That's a really heartwarming story to hear in the run up to Christmas. Although I must admit I don't know whether to trust Sears or not.

  18. Brilliant! I bet it really got you when YOUR name was on the coat, huh? Great advertising for Land's End and heart warming too with an opportunity for action that is easy to implement.

    Really good.

    Thanks for sharing.

  19. I got that, too. It's very inspirational, but it totally freaked me out when I saw my name on that coat!
