America

We yanks just love to pass the blame. What other country can boast of 3 lawyers for every citizen. We come up with the best reasons to blame others for our own problems. Here's a small list...

If a woman burns her thighs on the hot coffee she's holding in her lap while driving, she blames the restaurant.

If your teen-age son kills himself or then next door neighbors, you blame the rock 'n' roll music or musician he liked.

If you smoke three packs a day for 40 years and die of lung cancer, your family blames the tobacco company.

If your daughter gets pregnant by the football captain you blame the school for poor sex education.

If your neighbor crashes into a tree while driving home drunk, you blame the bartender.

If your cousin gets AIDS because the needle he used to shoot up with heroin was dirty, you blame the government for not providing clean ones.

If your grandchildren are brats without manners, you blame television.

If your friend is shot by a deranged madman, you blame the gun manufacturer.

And if a crazed person breaks into the cockpit and tries to kill the pilots at 35,000 feet, and the passengers kill him instead, the mother of the deceased blames the airline.

I guess I'll just never understand the world as it is anymore. So if I die while my old, wrinkled ass is parked in front of this computer while typing this joke - I want you to blame Bill Gates, OK?

  2. The blaming psychology doesn't do us any good and yet most people just want to put the blame on others. We should take control for action directly or indirectly caused by us.

  3. Hilarious! But there's a lot of truth in it.

  4. So true... so sad. But so true. I wish that just once, people would start taking responsibility for themselves!

  17. It's so true and people wonder why insurance keep going up, If someone trips at the supermarket or eats something that might cause them an upset stomach then it is as easy as picking up the phone and calling the local ambulance chaser. I think in all lawsuits, the plaintiff has to pay the lawyer up front his total fee, instead of the lawyer having a cut of the award. Then you would see a lot less lawsuits IMO

  19. Nobody plays the blame game as well as we Americans, however, have you noticed that everything that is wrong in the rest of the world is our fault?

  21. Har har har, good points all around. There's a good song by the White Stripes called Effect and Cause that deals with a similar subject. It makes no sense to blame the effect and make it the cause, but Americans do it so often.

  22. If we never passed the blame, humans would never be able to live with themselves for all the bad stuff they've done. Like that time I stole the dog's lunch.

  23. Sad isn't it? We are the most litigious society on earth. That's why we need more farmers, and teachers and others in congress instead of a bunch of Judge Roy Beans...

  24. Poor bill gates! He gets all kind of blame.

  25. It is so easy to blame others for our own stupid choices. We need to think about our ability to...

serve with integrity, care about those you serve and share the love in your heart/soul.

    What do you think?

  26. LOL... Bill Gates it is!

  27. The biggest problem is that we elect too many lawyers to congress. It is like the comedian Gallager said "If pro is the opposite of con, what does that make congress?" Thanks Sandee.

  29. Sadly, this is all too true, no one takes responsibility for their own actions anymore and it's way too easy to find a lawyer who's more than happy to bring your B.S. lawsuit to court and then find 12 jurors who are morons.

That whole MacDonald's coffee thing still burns my ass - never mind the one of the lady who spilled the stuff on her own dumb self!
