The Handsome Prince...

1 comment:
The Handsome Prince lived on a tropical island. He was not all alone. There were many frogs on the island, and also a mirror, and when he looked in the mirror he couldn't see himself apart from the frogs. He noticed that he was the better looking of the frogs whose reflections also showed in the mirror, and there was something special about his eyes.

What I Dun in Dakota...

No comments:
A cowboy from Texas rode into town and stopped at a saloon for a drink. Unfortunately, the locals always had a habit of picking on strangers, which he was.

When he finished his drink, he found his horse had been stolen. He went back into the bar, handily flipped his gun into the air, caught it above his head without even looking and fired a shot into the ceiling.

Home Paternity Test...

No comments:
One of the most famous topics associated with Maury is paternity testing: a mother appears on-air attempting to prove (or disprove, in some cases) that a man is the biological father of her child or children. Often the mother will bring the child or children to the studio to prove her claim's validity to Maury, the audience, and the accused father. Source: Wikipedia

The Story Game

No comments:
I got this idea from Marilyn of More Random Than Average and decided to do this instead of the comment game this week. I don't want to bore all of you to pieces. I just want you to have something to do if you swing by for a visit this weekend while I'm enjoying our boat. So play nice. Okay?

Scotch and Water

No comments:
A lady goes to the bar on a cruise ship and orders a Scotch with two drops of water. As the bartender gives her the drink she says, 'I'm on this cruise to celebrate my 80th birthday and it's today...'

The bartender says, 'Well, since it's your birthday, I'll buy you a drink. In fact, this one is on me.'

It's fun to cook for Bob. Today I made angel food cake. The recipe said beat 12 eggs separately. The neighbors were nice enough to loan me some extra bowls.

Give Me Five

No comments:
The 'Give Me Five' Monday meme is designed to share fun information with each other in a simple short list! Here's how it works. Each week, I will put out a random topic from my list of topics and you share 5 answers of your choice on the given topic and link back here! You can add photos, links or stories or just a simple list of your own of 5 things that relate to the topic as it pertains to you and your life experiences. It doesn't have to be in any order of importance unless otherwise specified.

The Comment Game

No comments:
I'm off to the boat for the weekend and wanted to have something for you to do if you dropped by. What's better than getting to play the comment game? So play nice and I'll see you Sunday.

Here's how it goes: I'll start the game off in the comments section by choosing two words or phrases, like coffee or tea, and which ever one you prefer you choose. You can also explain why. When you have done that you do two new words or phrases for the next commenter to choose from. Feel free to come back as often as you like. Just have fun. If someone derails the game will one of you put it back on track? Thanks.

Metamorphosis Tag

No comments:
I was tagged by Hanna of Amori, poesie, arte, chat by Hanna for the Metamorphosis meme. Here's how it works...select a book and open to page 161, then choose a complete sentence. I chose 7th Heaven by James Patterson and Maxine Paetro.

Here's the complete sentence: I stepped through the shattered door frame and saw the stars and the moon where my ceiling used to be.

UFO

No comments:
A flying saucer landed at a gas station on a lonely country road. The two space aliens inside seemed completely unconcerned about detection; in fact, the letters "UFO" were emblazoned in big, bold letters on one side of their shiny craft. As the station owner stood and gawked in silence, paralyzed with shock, his young blond attendant nonchalantly filled up the tank and waved to the two aliens as they took off.

The Insurance Claim

No comments:
A Charlotte, NC, lawyer purchased a box of very rare and expensive cigars, then insured them against fire among other things. Within a month having smoked his entire stockpile of these great cigars and without yet having made even his first premium payment on the policy, the lawyer filed claim against the insurance company. In his claim, the lawyer stated the cigars were lost "in a series of small fires." The insurance company refused to pay, citing the obvious reason: That the man had consumed the cigars in the normal fashion.

Thursday Thirteen

No comments:
The Thursday 13 is a weekly meme with a simple theme: each Thursday you blog a list of 13 things. What kind of things? Any kind! Just come up with a list theme and run with it. One week you may list “13 things on my mind” and maybe the next week you’d list “my top 13 favorite movies”.  Back in early 2007, Janet came up with the idea of going through the alphabet;  “13 Things I Love that begin with the letter A”, etc.  That gives you 26 weeks of ideas! Each new 13 will be posted at approximately 8PM EST every Wednesday evening.
