Wednesdays Question

It's Wednesday so that means it's question time. It's time to ponder and then answer just one question. Okay, you can add all you want as a reason for your answer too. We'd all like that.

So here's this weeks question: What is your idea of a perfect day?
My first thought was on a boat, but then I thought about hubby and boating wouldn't be fun without him. So, picture this. It's about 85°, we are on our boat (me, hubby and Little Bit) taking a cruise to some fun place. We're going to spend the day cruising to our destination and when we arrive there will be cocktails, and a fine dinner. That's about as perfect a day I could ever have. We do this fairly often too.
Answers from yesterdays question:

1) Chop Suey c) USA
2) Chicken Tikka Masala b) England
3) Pizza c) Italy
4) Pasta c) China
5) Hamburger a) Hamburg

  1. Well, there are many versions of perfect, but one of my favorite perfect days (and one when I recall it I just kept saying " Best Day EVER" all day long) was on a cruise and the port that day was a private island, Little Stirrup Cay. Perfect beach, perfect weather, not too many people, great music, great friend, cold beer. bahahahaha!

It really was Heavenly. I can't wait to go back.

Have a perfectly lovely day. big hugs xoxo

  4. Dang, I missed 3 and 5...too obvious.

The best part of boating all day is always dropping anchor and having a gin and tonic.

  5. hmmm, perfect day... okay here goes, i wake up early with a beautiful sunrise outside my window and lay there for a few moments drinking it in, roche' wakes up too and doesn't want anything! the phone rings, it's a dear friend telling me great news and asking me to come have lunch to celebrate and then lounging by the pool later. that evening there is a concert, probably andrea bocelli and i get to go to that with a stop on the way home for a nightcap and long talk about happy things with the same friend and then we part ways and sleep in dreamland. oh wait, that pretty much is my life! ha ha

  6. A perfect day is good health for me and for all the animals here, a nice conversation with a good friend and just plain easy day. Glad to hear you are having such a good time on the boat Sandee.

  7. A perfect day for me would be on a cruise ship in the Caribbean with my wife next to me laying in the sun with a big cool drink. Later sitting having a wonderful dinner with friends discussing their day, later walking around the ship, stopping drinking a coffee and listening to Calypso music and going back to our cabin having a wonderful sleep getting up and starting the again the same way. But what about my grandchildren my golf, watching my big TV, etc, This is so difficult. I want everything Sandee.
Have a wonderful Wednesday my friend. See ya.

  10. Nothing, nada, not one thing to do on the 'have to agenda,' allowing me and the kids to play all day long. Then dinner w/dad, a movie on the couch, and snuggles and reading when it's time for bed. Doesn't get better than that! My second best day ever would be walking around Paris w/the fam., or Venice...Naples...Copenhagen... I could go on. ;)

We saw a sign at the Barmouth, Wales, U.K. harbor (formerly a ferry ran):
"Kids Under One and Dogs Ride Free."

My perfect day is listening to my old CW vinyl 45 backwards:
"The wife comes back, the dog gets well,
the boat gets patched along with the hole in my roof,
and my pickup truck runs again."

    ..

    1. I just listened to it. The wife part was wrong, it is
"The wife starts loving me again"
      ..

    2. Bwahahahahahahaha. Well the truck or the wife. :)

    3. What's more important? The truck running again or your wife starts loving you again. :)

  19. A perfect day would be one where I have nothing else to do but whatever I want which would include a trip over the coast with my husband enjoying our beautiful state, then coming home and cuddling with my girls! There's probably be one or two desserts in there too! :)

Hope you have a lovely day Sandee! Scritches to Little Bit!

  27. Impeccable timing on this question.... I spent yesterday as close as I can get to perfect. The only thing missing was my Husband and some sand toys!

I skipped work so Hubby could work all day and get caught up. Megan and I piled in the car at 830 headed to a state park about an hour away. Beautiful cool lake with a clean beach!!!! It was 90+ but there was a cool breeze off the water. We had a great time, even though Mommy forgot the sand buckets and toys. A McDonalds iced coffee cup worked great! :) It was peaceful, quiet rejuvenating and we soaked up all the vitamin D we could stand before the storms rolled in. I will take one of those days each week until September PLEASE!!!!
