Seymour #2

Well here we are on week two that Seymour has been with us. He's not looking at us as you can see. He's not as angry, but he's got a long way to go before he's remotely friendly. I've kept him in the office since I spend so much time here so he wouldn't be alone. As you can see he's copping a huge attitude.

We also are taking him to the boat with us this coming weekend to see how he likes that. We don't want to leave him home alone. I'm afraid that he'll get into trouble if I do. I think he'll like the boat very much. I'm just not sure if he can swim.

The other day we found him in our guest room looking out the window. I'm sorry the picture isn't the best, but now we're wondering what in the world he's looking at. Any ideas? We're wondering if he's thinking about escaping and hitchhiking home, or is there something out there that interests him.

Do you sing "Suddenly Seymour" to him?

Well hello, Seymour! It's nice to put a face to the name.

I do believe he's eyeing up a partner. He's probably hoping for a few one night stands while he's visiting. Just hope there's not a granite or marble lassie back home waiting for him. Seems he like yard rocks, best!

He thinks the big rock under the tree just might be his Dad. But, alas, It's just a slab of dirty rock. One day..... Seymour will be happy again. Just love him lots! :)

Hi there Seymour. You need to try smiling. It really works. Now, on the boat do be so careful. Don't fall off, since you will definitely sink never to be seen again and Sandee and Zane would be very sad. I can't believe I am talking to a rock. LOL, But better than talking to some people.

It's a hormone thing. Many parents just throw their children in the water to get them to swim. That's how my bother in law learned. What method will you try?

Finally I saw Seymour.
It may be true that he was planning an escape. So, be careful Grandma. hahaha

Have a great day Grandma. :D

I doubt he can swim but my guess is Seymour is doing just that he wants to see-more of that tree ;-)

Boom! Boom!

Have a rocking evening :-)

Nice to meet you Seymore. I think you are lonely and missing your home. Perhaps you could meet some friends while out in California.

My rocks are all together in the flower bed, except for one guy who hangs out all alone.

Ask Sandie to buy you a life jacket so you won't have to worry about drowning.

Where was home for Seymour? The Rocky Mountains?

Babs-beetle on 1/24/2013 said...

Don't tell Seymore I said this, but I think he'll sink like a stone if he falls overboard ;)

I forgot, is Seymore going home soon? If he isn't perhaps you could find him a playmate. That helped them to not be so lonesome without us and when they were staying with someone else.

When I worked I did have a Beanie Baby Mouse to stay with my computer mouse when I was not there. They got along so well that after a bit I let both mice stay together even when I was there.

One thing, I wouldn't worry about Seymore being able to swim or not. Rocks can almost walk on water they are soooo good when you get them out on it. Most of them are able to skip along on the water even if they aren't good enough to walk on it. I think they might like snorkeling too, get him something for that.

The 'them' in the first paragraph was my pets, the dogs and cat, when I had to leave them alone. Or with another person. The computer ate all of that before it posted, the stuff following here also.

I would get them a playmate toy plush toy they felt comfortable and made sure the toy was with them. You could get Seymore a toy for companionship. He would be much happier even with you home.

Well hello there Seymour. I bet you're checking out that rock across the street and wondering if she's single aren't you?
Have fun on the boat. I'm sure you'll enjoy that

I think he is looking at that hottie out the window - that big sexy rock under the tree. But what do I know.

BeadedTail on 1/24/2013 said...

Seymour is much bigger than I thought! He must be checking out the neighboring rock.

Binky on 1/24/2013 said...

He looking at that big rock out there and longing to be free!

I love Seymour and I think he's looking at that bigger rock out there. You better becareful it most likely is a girl rock.

He'll be sneaking out at night and oh my goodness you might even wind up with an unwanted litter of Seymour offspring!

The weather is going to be lousy so there goes my vacation for this week. I am back blogging and now of course behind!

I love Seymour and please do sing to him. He probably likes country and western...lol!!! I know Zane can sing to him!!:-)

I looked for Feline Friday and no one had posted yet. No worries I have pictures already edited for that post.

I will get it up before I go to bed. Remember you are two hours behind me. It's already almost 10 pm here.

I would never drop a meme you were doing!
Hugs and see you in the morning!:-)

You're right not to leave Seymour to his own devices. He once -- after watching an Outer Limits marathon on Sci-Fi -- reconfigured the VCR remote for 'home defense'. Which I figured out when I inadvertently vaporized the apartment across the hall (fortunately vacant at the time).

That boy is up to something for sure. I can see it in those shifty eyes.

Big hugs, honey...
