Happy Wombat Day

Today is Wombat Day! Wombat Day is a day to gather all your friends together to celebrate the glorious wombat. A traditional Wombat Day party includes a chocolate wombat cake and wine gums, and usually ends with fireworks. The secret wombat dance is often performed, accompanied by wombat tales. But you can celebrate the day any way you wish.

Wombat Day? Is there a day for Raccoons? Because they were screeching and snarling and I'm thinking it may have been a family get together or a National Holiday. The kind where they invite relatives they don't like so much.

Have yourself a lovely, Happy Wombat Day, Sandee! big hugs xoxo

As long a chocolate cake is involved, count me in.

I think I'll celebrate the day without a wombat.

Happy Wombat Day, Sandee! It's a very good day to eat some chocolate. Or maybe a lot of chocolate.

And thanks for posting this!

Is that today? All ready? Amazing how the holidays sneak up on you. Fortunately I baked a chocolate cake yesterday, so I'm not caught totally unprepared.

I missed this last year as I was attending national redneck day at Hot Coffee, MS. Have to have a Wombat party next year if I'm in Australia!

I'm sorry, but I will NOT share a chocolate cake with a wombat. It's a geological thing...

Thanks, Sandee. I'd heard of Wombat Day but didn't know it was now.
I celebrated by walking St Johns Wood High Street with KP and Mrs. Jim. Then we went to the playground and did the swings mostly for a long time.

Happy Wombat Day Sandee. I am not aware of the secret wombat dance. I guess that's why it's secret
