Easy Chicken Recipe

Here is a chicken recipe that also includes the use of popcorn as a stuffing...imagine that!

When I found this recipe, I thought it was perfect for people like me, who are not sure how to tell when poultry is thoroughly cooked, but not dried out.. Give this a try.

1 chicken
1 cup melted butter
1 cup stuffing
1 cup uncooked popcorn
Salt/pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 200 degrees
Brush chicken well with melted butter salt and pepper
Fill cavity with stuffing mixed with popcorn.

Place in baking pan with the neck end toward the back of the oven.

Listen for the popping sounds.

When the chicken's arse blows the oven door open and the chicken flies across the room and lands on the table, it's done and ready to eat!

And you thought I couldn't cook ...

For a split second I thought I had finally found a recipe that even I couldn't fail with.

I wonder if you used buttered popcorn rather than the plain if you could eliminate the melted butter on the outside

GrammyMouseTails on 12/20/2011 said...

oookay then... I may be to scared to eat it tho. I also think the temps would need to be a tad higher to pop the corn, but then you would have blackened turkey!

Could we make that chocolate popcorn?

I think we will give it try - but only if you are sure it will land on the plates so I don't have to carve it :)

Like Stevebethere I thought it was serious too at 1st. I totally cracked up & Michelle gave me the strangest look. I read it to her & she laughed too. I can hardly see to type this comment as my eyes are too watery from laughing. I'm not sure about Da Dude's idea of using it the popcorn stuffing for Turkey. Would insurance companies cover the damage to your walls after the turkey blows straight through them & lands outside on the road.
