Thursday Thoughts

zwani.com myspace graphic comments
The weather is changing and I'm not so happy about that. Yesterday I was in shorts and a t-shirt and today it's long pants and a jacket. I'm not a cold weather person. At. All.

Hubby makes me smile. All the time. He's my very best friend.

Have you noticed how positive people are wonderful to be around.

Life is a gift and a wonderful gift indeed. Too bad so many people miss that.

Sunshine makes me smile. It recharges my body and mind.

Grand-babies rock, but great grand-babies are even better.

The holidays make me think family and I so enjoy spending quality time with my family.

My sister is my second best friend. I'll be seeing her on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

May today be a great day for all of you.

  1. Your post bring a smile to my face. How simple things make you happy. Its great to have your hubby as your best friend too.

I sometimes wonder why some people love to sulk and make life difficult for others. I always turn the other way and run fast from people who love to complain about everything in their universe. *LOL*

I love positive people... and i like you a lot!

Hope you are having a wonderful day even though its getting a bit chilly :p

  3. If the weather on the West Coast has been anything like what we've had on the East Coast, it is totally out of whack this year. I haven't watched a forecast in a few days but the last time I did they were talking snow for today. In October. Ugh. I get the feeling it's going to be another long winter like last year.

And Barb is correct, Zane is definitely a keeper!

  4. I love sun shiny days too and unfortunately, we are have lots of dark gray gloomy ones here in Cleveland this week. However, praise the Lord it's not snowing! We've had a record rainfall this year and I'm just glad all this rain lately isn't snow. It could be worse.

  5. Yep, a chilly, precipitous winter is coming for us... snowstorm in Denver...

It was gorgeous yesterday one of those cool 65-70 degree fall days. Made me smile.

    Life is, indeed, good.

  6. It's the opposite for me today, yesterday was cold (ie long pants, etc) today I have capris on because it will be 81. Just know that at least we aren't getting 9 inches of snow like Colorado

  7. Best friends are a necessity. Mine is kind of slipping away.

  8. Well that is so nice to hear so many positive thoughts. I love positive people and positive thoughts. Great post Sandee.

  9. Amen to the positive people line! I am trying to be that kind of person and to surround myself with the same.

I miss my best friend, he is working too much. But its out of love for his family so I can't much complain. We are entertaining thoughts of expanding the garage to the land we own across the street. A couple of bays and maybe an employee or two. I think this is a very good thing, just have to make it happen.

It's getting colder here, too. But I love it. Snow in the forecast, chilly breeze. Fall weather. Hoodies and hot chocolate.

I am taking Miss Megan to trick or treat at the mall tonight, can't wait! I will have pictures, no doubt.

    Have a beautiful day!

  10. Why can't I get the "Courtship of Eddies Father" Theme out of my head now. "People let me tell you bout my best friend..."

  11. That really warmed me up. And do I need it as we have only forties here today. Yup, trying to be a positive person and give out sunshine every day. It makes a difference. Especially in healthcare field where I work. Have a great day, Sandee!

  13. The ability to take delight in simple things is probably the greatest gift of all. Symphonies are wonderful, but not more so than the laughter of a child.

  14. Lovely post. I do love positive people.

  15. I don't like the cold either, yet, I'm moving somewhere where its like twice as cold as Jersey. Go figure. I think it's more the lack of sunlight though so I'm going to invest in one of those special light things to get me through the winter.

  18. Same here, warm yesterday, cold today; but it's bringing rain. After the summer we had, I'll take rain any way I can get it.
As for the rest; right on the money. Have a great day.

  20. It is sunny in Jamaica this afternoon. We have gotten some well needed rain since October started. This is usually a rainy month here. At times it is still very hot but not where I am located. Soon we will be feeling cold. Of course you would laugh at what I call cold! It is great that you will be with family for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I also love being with family. Take care and enjoy the rest of your day.

  21. Except for the first one those are all good thoughts, Sandee!

I'm in shorts and a golf shirt today and will be tomorrow too. Even if we do get a little of the predicted cool day tomorrow it won't be biting cool lie the Bay Area's. :)

  22. In fact, shorts and short sleeved shirts are the dress of the day all year round here for 'stay at home' days.

A short jaunt to the P.O. box or out to get the paper or to walk the dogs might prompt a sweater on our 'colder days'.

  23. In fact, shorts and short sleeved shirts are my in the house dress of the day all year round.

In cooler weather I would wear a sweater outside for short outside jaunts, mail box, get the paper, walk the dogs, etc.

Warmer clothing might be needed on the cold days for shopping, church and stuff like that.

  26. I hate cold weather, too. I wonder how the hell I ended up on the northern Siberian side of the east coast. It's already cold here in CT. I shudder at the thought of snow.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I also hate cold weather, but then living in southern Mississippi, its not too bad here. But at times I wish I was back in centraol FL.

  33. I love the cooler weather. But my bf feels the same way as you. He LOVES the heat. Loves to walk in 100 degree weather.
I like to walk at night.
    When it's cool.
    And there's a breeze.
    And I need a jacket.

    Just sayin'

    lol

  34. p.s. I love how you love the simpler things and how your hubby is your best friend. That rocks! Ever since I met my bf we are sooooo satisfied just talking to each other and spending time together that I never seem to seek out anyone else to talk to. So I have an "idea" of what it must be like to be married to your best friend. I am so happy for you that you are in such a good relationship and doing the things you love.

Big hugs and lots of lovies for you, too :)

    xoxooxoxox

Hope you get a few more warm days before the cold weather sets in.
