What Adults Know

  • Raising teenagers is like nailing jelly to a tree.

  • Wrinkles don't hurt.

  • Families are like fudge -- mostly sweet, with a few nuts.

  • Today's mighty oak is just yesterday's nut that held its ground.

  • Laughing is good exercise. It's like jogging on the inside.

  • Middle age is when you choose your cereal for the fiber, not the toy.

Oh shoot, I choose the cereal that has the toy that my son will like. So YAY, I'm not an adult yet!

Wait... I thought it was nailing jello to a tree. If it's jelly, that's raising the bar even more!

Only 28 Mondays to go, Sandee! Big hugs :)

It's not a matter of "IF" your teen is going to wreck the car, it's only a matter of when.

Oh I am so glad I didn't have to nail jelly to the tree. Who says wrinkles don't hurt. Love these sayings, really good. Hope you have fantastic week. Did you eat too much this past week end??

My family's like a snickers bar, jammed full of nuts.

It depends where the wrinkles are!!

They don't put any toys in cereal anymore, which is good because I do choose it for the fiber.

It's like an impossible thing to do! Glad I am a real good boy and my parents did not have much hard time raising me up. Just saying though. :D

Oh, man. Do I have to stop buying the cereal with the colorful marshmallows? I love that one!

Linda on 8/10/2010 said...

Yep - I've got that whole "nailing jelly to a tree" down perfectly! It's even tougher when you have several different types of jelly!

As for the cereal, I saw a commercial yesterday where they were talking about the additional fiber in Fruit Loops so I think it's still good for us adults to indulge in ... now if they could just fiber up Lucky Charms!
