Senior Citizen Recall

Hubby got this from one of his pals and decided to make a slide show. This really cracked him up. Could be our ages, or could be we don't have to worry about this kind of thing anymore. Well, some of this we worry about.

It's not that far from the truth. A friend of mine who was in the Reserves was sent to Irag in 2006 - his age at the time? 58.

I think those old vets need to stick to their fund raising and bingo. Leave the fighting to us young [ahem] bucks!

sometimes I wonder about what it would be if we old folks were drafted to serve again.

Ann on January 28, 2010 11:52 AM said...

I'm with Lois I think there are still lots of seniors who would be ready willing and able.

I think I need one of those push up jacks.

You know, I was thinking like Lois. I think these are funny but I think there is some truth here too. From what I've seen of our men and women in the military and our veterans? I think they would serve our nation again. There is a WHOLE lot of character and honor in that generation and sometimes, I worry that we (the younger generation) are letting them down.

And I want a push up jack.
