The Comment Game

I'm off to the boat. Tonight I get sworn in as the new port captain for our yacht club, so while I'm gone I want there to be something for you to do when and if you swing by. How about the comment game?

Here's how it goes: I'll start the game off in the comments section by choosing two words or phrases, like real Christmas tree or fake Christmas tree, and which ever one you prefer you choose. You can also explain why. When you have done that you do two new words or phrases for the next commenter to choose from. Feel free to come back as often as you like. Just have fun and have a great weekend.

I am thrilled to say, christmas shopping done! I could keep buying and I may but for the most part I'm done!

the teach said...

Christmas Eve AND Christmas Day -- two different families. Hah!

Black & White or color photos?

DrillerAA said...

With digital you can have both.
For drama and mood, I love black and white. For color and spectacle I'll take color. For Christmas, it has to be color!!!

Christmas records or CDs?

Monday Morning Power said...

OK, I'm going to throw a monkey wrench into this whole process. I'm Jewish to I celebrate Christmas, but I do love this time of the year. So, for the previous questions of records or CD's I'm going to answer MP3s. Hey I do have to be different, but not that different........
Home for the holidays or out of town?

Monday Morning Power said...

Correction, I'm Jewish so I do not celebrate Christmas (all the rest stays.)

Home, but all my family is local so it's a no-brainer.

Tinsel: Yes or No?

Travis said...

First - congrats on your Port Captaincy! I'm thinking that has something to do with sailing, and that you are not now the Chief Wine Steward. LOL!

No on the tinsel. Too stringly and messy and tough to clean up after the season.

Walnuts or raisins in the pumpkin bread?

DrillerAA said...

Yes. I like my bread fully loaded.

"It's a Worderful Life" or "Miracle on 34th Street" (the original version)?

Melting plastic into presents :)

Who would win a dancing contest, Santa or the Elfs?

Amazing Gracie said...

Since the "fat police" have declared Santa persona non grata this year, I guess the elves! A skinny Santa just can't dance the same as a portly one!!!
Fudge or divinity?

Stine said...

Congrats Sandee! I hope there's a party to go with the swearing in!

I have to say fudge, cos I don't know what divinity is when it's at home and not in church...

White Christmas or palm trees & sunshine?

Rhonda said...

Being from Wisconsin I'll have to say, White Christmas. Although I wouldn't rule out Palm Trees. :)

Star or Angel on top of the tree?

DrillerAA said...

Star.
Jesus is the reason for the season. The angels announced his birth to the shepherds but the star guided them to him.

Oh Holy Night or Hallelujah Chorus?

Lois Grebowski said...

Congrats Mon Port Captain!

Oh Holy Night - most definitely! It is such a beautiful song and reflects the quiet contemplation of what Christ's birth means to me. If only I had the voice to sing it well...

In keeping with the Christmas theme...Which is more fun to buy -- gifts for the stockings or under the tree?

Ann said...

Congrats on being new port Captain, Sandee, and have fun on the boat.

Oh this is a hard one, well let me see, I guess it's more fun to think about what to put in the stockings.

And I'll keep with the Christmas theme as well.

What do you place at the top of your tree? A star or an angel?

Misty Dawn said...

I have each - I usually make my husband pick which one we are going to use each year.

blinking or non-blinking Christmas lights?

Greatfullivin said...

Congrats Sandee! Non Blinkers for me. Gee this is fun! In your yard...Santa or Nativity

Queen-Size funny bone said...

Santa instead of Nativity only because it is harder to set up an appropriate nativity outside.

Fine dry snow or wet heavy snow?

Travis said...

Any snow! I grew up in California where we didn't get a sniff of snow.

In fact, it's snowing right now!

Uhm

The animated Grinch or the Jim Carry Grinch?

Lois Grebowski said...

Good one!

Not a Jim Carey fan nor a fan of the current craze of remakes... so I say animated Grinch all the way!

I'm craving chocolate...so is it bourbon balls or buckeyes?

Ambre said...

I don't care for bourbon so I don't think I'd like them at all, not even in a ball! Dr. Seuss better not try to steal that one!

Um, I'll go with the buckeys. It's got to be better than black eyes, eh?

Lets see...

Fruit cake (yuck) or dried fruit around the Christmas tree?

smiles
