R.T. over at Untwisted Vortex is having a commenters contest. Here's his goal:For those of you who are willing to participate, I'm starting a comment contest as of right now. Make a comment on a blog you read (but not as the sole comment — just as an aside or something) and let the blogger know about the contest. I'll create the image or have one of my more graphically-oriented online friends do it for me.
You, as the blog author of your own blog, need to count how many comments per commenter you receive. Every week, ending in Saturday, send me the name, URL, and comment count of the person who commented on your blog the most (ties are okay). I will pick a weekly winner from all the submissions.

So, I've done my count for this three-day first run and the top three have been submitted to R.T. for the drawing. R.T. will have a drawing of all submissions and the winner will receive a badge that signifies they were chosen as the top commenter for that week.
I just want to thank all my readers. I too am not very good at responding to your comments, but I do so appreciate each and everyone of you. I promise to try harder.

i never respond to comments except on southern dreams. i don't know why either. i think comments. i really do. i just never seem to get them posted...

Empress Bee - I'm bad about it too, but always enjoy when I return to a site and see the author commented on a comment I left.
No one's worse than me about commenting on other sites. With only about 6 good connection hours per day, I don't get around much once I get caught up.
I hope to change all that with a different provider in just under two weeks.
R.T. - I hope you finally find a good provider. What you put up with would make me crazy.

Wow! I can't believe I'm in the top three! Especially since I feel I don't get by Comedy Plus enough. I will have to go read RT's post. I think you are in my top three as well. Love ya, buddy~

I like to respond to comments but admit it is not always possible. I shall try to do better. It's important. I like to go back myself and see if the blogger has responded to what I said. I should do the same. It is courteous.

Mimi - I got out of the habit of responding to comments until R.T. posted the contest. It's just the right thing to do.
Well, that just won't do, will it - I'll just have to make an effort to at least get a mention next week...
